Resilio Sync

Great system for keeping files in Sync, with limitless storage and no slow cloud servers.

I have uset Resilio sinde it was introduced, and I love the idea, that your data is your own. No legal texts the size of book. I love my privacy, and Resilio is a fantastic help for me. I am a early retired IT professional, that have a private IT installation a bit over average. A very technology-used family, that uses a LOT of equipment. Currently we have over 110 active ip’s around two interconnected locations (Denmark and Spain). I use Resilio for all devices: iPads, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 6, 4xMacbook Pros with up to 8 years of age, numerous Windows 10 instances (physical and virtual), Ubuntu and in the middle of it all I have a FreeNAS server running as main storage and a QNAP NAS in Spain. My point is, that despite the broad amount of platforms, it just works out of the box. Critics (must have some of that too): Difficult to find out how to troubleshoot errors, that pops up on the GUI. Had an “Database error” the other day, but there were no hints or links to help me. IF an error must be presented to the user, it should be accompanied with links to a procedure or a tool, that can fix it. And a mail about it would have been nice. AND Why does it not run in The background. I am currently in Spain, and scanning old positive film, in Denmark, on a auto feed scanner. The files are approx 100Mb each, and I have to keep my Sync App active all the time, is to get the files. Annoying! Why don’t You use the ‘Allow location’ loophole in Xcode to keep it running? Sharing is easy, but it could be even better. For example: had an encrypted folder that I wanted to share on my FreeNAS server. The web gui gave me a key/guid, that I had to copy to a Note in iCloud, so I could transfer it to my iPad. Here I copied the key, switched to Resilio app and added the key. I think that an easier way could be good. Or maybe some kind of central administration of assigned devices could be good. An scheduled mail/info on synchronisation status could be nice. That way I would have caught the “Database Error” much sooner. Keep on coding. You are nearly there.

Using Sync gives me an easy way to move files from my Mac to my iPad. Just grest

高级又神秘且好用的软件。

只能前台亮屏状态才可以同步，这点和安卓版本的比起来还是有些差距，要是能实现一个同步时屏幕自动调到最低亮度并且保持常亮模式也ok的

数据，网络同步特别好用，希望同步逻辑能优化一下，功能说明能再优化，有点看不懂
