Resistor Code Calculator Reviews
Excellent
Would love to see it automatically calculate the 5 band when you switch from the 4 band.
This is great for my 9 year old to learn electronics.
There is a bug with larger font sizes on my phone, it cuts off some of the text for the 2 rows (2.7K / Band 1 Band 2 etc).
I love this app
This app is really handy for Practical Electronics at school this year.
Very basic App
Why doesn't anyone write an App that uses the camera to photograph the resistor and just report what it is!?
So much better than trying to match colours from a tiny resistor to the colour chart and manually try to work it out!
There you are, an idea (free) for a NICE App for someone to write.
I would pay for THAT App!
Basic functionality only
Very basic app, but one flaw I found in 30 seconds of use: it doesn't work for resistors of less than 10 Ohms. (I was looking up a 1 Ohm and a 1.8 Ohm resistor, with banding brown black gold gold, and brown grey gold gold respectively and had to resort to the multimeter approach)
great tool.
not sure why theres any tracking on an app as simple as this.
It says it supports 5 bands but can only access 4.
There is no settings button, gear, preferences, etc., that I can find. Only shows 4 bands. Not sure how to change to 5 bands.
Weird notation
Why would I want to know what 1.5x10^5 ohm is? Couldn’t there be a way to swap to just say 150k ohms?
It is a nice app, otherwise.
What does it need Bluetooth access for?
Good little app that does exactly what you need it to - visually decoding/encoding the values and color bands of resistors. In that aspect, it’s flawless. Five+ years later, though, and I still can’t figure out why every so often it asks me to grant Bluetooth access permission 🤔
Give me an option to send you money!
This is handy. Thanks!
Great - But Needs Precision Option
Extremely helpful for standard resistors with four color bands. Would be nice to have a 5 band option.
I would pay if the app allowed the camera to ID the colors, if fast and reliable.
