臺東形象月曆以「Re:Taitung _________ 臺東」為主題，留白的底線讓每個人填入自己心中對臺東的形容，Re:則具有回覆的意涵，讓此份月曆可以作為邀請函，熱情邀約所有人前來臺東，深度感受臺東特有的慢文化。
月曆中選出12項代表臺東的獨特主題，有鏢旗魚技藝、手炒海鹽工法、炸寒單、鳥烏頭翁等，12個主題囊括了臺東特有的文化技藝、人文情懷、自然生態，經由插畫師轉化後，改以色塊、流暢線條、陰影方式抽象呈現，製造畫面律動感。
這份月曆可以用「聽」的！縣府邀請擅長以聲音為素材創作的藝術家吳燦政，為月曆設計創作一首分為12個段落的聲音輯。吳燦政親赴臺東收音，採集記錄臺東自然音韻傳遞的音符，透過後期混音、編曲，以創作者觀點重新解構又融合，期待藉由真實的聲音記錄，提升使用者立體的感受。每個月份主題搭配一段切題的聲音創作，民眾下載app後掃描插畫，即以AR互動形式聽見音樂，沈浸式感受臺東的風、海、蟲鳴鳥叫。
