ReTrader is something I have used to help, if not transform, my trading ability and knowledge. Not only that, but the extensive clientele of Hedge funds and investment banks is also and advantage. Take Goldman Sachs’s retrader event, just to name one.
I am a day trader and find this simple but effective app in teaching the rudiments on how to apply fundamental decision making to your trading view. Only wish it was around 20 years back!
This is an excellent app which allows you to understand market movements and what drives them, putting you in the shoes of traders. Anyone who leaves a bad review just didn't do very well on the leaderboard ;)
Good fun and simple to use. It's very interesting to find out news can have such an effect.
This APP is unique. It helps new traders to appreciate how markets actually move and to learn about real market events. Great idea and I am sure will go a long way, it could be improved aesthetically though.
I have been in trading for a while now and know for sure that after a business day, be it profitable or not, every trader wonders what would have happened if he had acted differently. Whereas this app allows him to do exactly that, helping him to analyse his work and understand the markets more thoroughly before placing the next trade!
ReTrader is hardly an educational tool and much more of a game, where you either press Buy or you press Sell at a very quick pace. Economics theory CAN explain the market movement after events, thus making the whole point of the app redundant. This is just another revenue stream for the 2-man comedy act that is Piers Curran and William De Lucy.
This application represents best the missing link between Economic theory and real life events. Many societies and academics recently tried to explain that economics education no longer satisfies or reflects on current behavior of markets and people but this app actually depicts past outcomes to get a better understanding.
