Retro soccer was a game I actually enjoyed a lot I jus wanted to keep playing and playing

One issue

awesome491 on

United States

Don’t get me wrong, this game is awesome. There is one thing that annoys me though. The goalkeepers are COMPLETELY unable to save any shot that goes over their head. It shows a jumping animation, but other than that it’s a free goal

WORST GAME EVER

Game

I hate when you can’t do nothing except tap the screen and pray the other team doesn’t score

Good and I recommend it but has some problems

One you shouldn’t make the international team recruitment limited we should picked whoever we want Also make the job offers better cause when you switch to Liverpool from like San Antonio they somehow a 1.5 star team even though they won the league last year huh how Also make contracts easy to understand and update the mls

Broken currency system

OscS on

United States

This game is so fun except that you cannot build a team. You cannot get enough money, and you lose more fans than you gain. Will try again once currency is a little easier to get.

Fun game! the tutorial is a must!

At first I understood what everyone else mean about the controls but once I watched the tutorial ( a few times to grasp it lol) it was a lot more enjoyable and easier to move around, kick, head, pass, etc. I think it’s a great fun little game to kill some time and it’s not too complicated to learn once you watch the tutorial. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it.

Simple issue and fix

Contracts should be easy to understand but there not, you’re expected to remember everyone’s contract from the time you get them and it’s frustrating when you end a season with players contracts saying Y16 (which i assume would mean 16 years though no real contracts are like that) but contracts should say the exact expiration date so you can prepare to renew or sell if need be. knowing the exact expiration date of contracts would really allow you to keep track of things to build for the future of your club. Apart from that this game is amazing.

Not balanced

Nongamer17 on

United States

This game needs serious balance tweaking. Game currency is stingy, and does not allow for building a 5 star team in any category. I played this game both with in-app purchases and in the arcade. The only way to build a 5 star team was through purchasing currency, before it moved to the Arcade. Unplayable in the Arcade due to currency issues. Also, transfer players are impossible to keep because you cannot earn enough money to afford their contracts. The only way to build a competitive team is through the development academy players, but again, you cannot keep them due to aforementioned currency issues and the cost of their contracts.

Open Honesty!!

Alright, let me preface by saying that I am in no way shape or form a soccer fan…never have been. The ONLY other soccer game I’ve played is Mario Super Strikers for the GameCube like 15-16 years ago??To the point where I was shocked that there’s 11 people on the field for soccer! 😂 I’m a longtime retrobowl player, love the simplicity and structure…when I saw that the same company released a soccer game I was hesitant..but f it, I was off for the 4th of July weekend and figured “why not?” I am hooked. Completely. A lot of individual reviews for this game refer to how the passing mechanics are bad??? If you’ve played retro bowl they’re basically the same mechanics. They even add a slow motion mechanic as you’re passing so you have time to set up your correct angling/depth. It’s flashy, the country selections are limitless essentially..what’s not to like?? Just finished my first season as the Akita D2 Japan Coach and I finished my first season with all wins and 1 tie. If you’re really struggling picking up the mechanics of this game..just switch the difficulty to easy until you’re comfortable. Closing statement, this is a well put together flash game that I personally will be hooked on for awhile!!
