wish the snake buttons were more responsive/faster refresh rate. Also wish the widget actually updated to show the actual signal strength. A shortcuts command to refresh the widget so it can be automated would also be very nice. edit: having played it more extensively now, here are a few changes to implement to give it better polish. 1))))) the faster speeds like 8-9 are wayy to fast for a human to play, especially with the laggy control inputs. heck, even on 5 i have it just completely not responding to inputs sometimes. 2))))) in the original game, the score scales with what level you set it at. for example, when set to level 3 a food is worth 3 points but on level 9 its worth 9 points. with them all the same it provides less incentive for players to play at higher levels. 3))))) bonus point bugs dont create a tummy bulge but they do in the original. nor do they cause the snakes mouth to open when one tile away from them. i get that they have different hitboxes than the food but it shouldn’t be that hard to include. 4))))) there is a weird graphical glitch that follows right behind the players head. not sure what that is. 5))))) wish it had the original beeper sound effects for eating food and the dying error noise. 6))))) when you die, it should only say “top score” if its actually the high score. otherwise just “score,” or “your score.” i get that you can check it from leaderboard at anytime, but what about people that dont have a game center account/are not logged it? then its up to them to remember it themselves?? 7))))) the keypad doenst include * or # for left and right turns. Hope this feedback is helpful

Thank you for making this widget. I miss Nokia phones and this really helps with my digital minimalism detox. It’s now top of my Home Screen!

Love playing snake but I was really hoping the square Nokia widget would be the watch face!

Snake II makes this a trip

This brings back memories of comparing Snake scores with folks every time you ran into them. Kept little competitions going that really heated up with Snake II as more and more people picked up Nokias. This combines that experience by adding Apple Leaderboards along with an authentic experience. 5 stars.

Relive the Nokia’s of the past

If you had snake on your Nokia device you will feel at home here. It also has a cool widget that replicates the “home” screen of the old Nokia.

Review from someone who never used a Nokia phone but enjoys playing snake from time to time

As someone who never used a Nokia phone but enjoys playing snake from time to time, this app is perfect for people who have never used a Nokia phone but enjoy playing snake from time to time. I don’t know if the animations are recreated or pulled from the original Nokia game, but there’s an apt amount of detail to this despite being pixel art. The snake can be seen swallowing the food as you pick it up. The offered watch face sounds cool but I do not have a compatible watch to give a fair review on it but my unfair review is that it sounds pretty cool. Using the 1,3,7, and 9 buttons will rotate the direction of your snake based on the button placement instead of acting as direction buttons and that’s a pretty cool feature for people who might not about the directions as well as others. (Going right, hit 1 twice to start going left)

Really brought back the memory! And guess what? Instead of moving with arrow, we actually move with the numpad. I think it’s a pretty cool touch to the whole theme!
