They had touted that the map was coming and when it came out it was nothing more than a pdf. It could have been interactive and working with gps to show exactly where you were on the map. Also it would have helped if it showed which way was North.
(In a good way)
No control of the crowd. People were getting shoved and pushed at venues. We took the train. No extra trains like they said there would be after the shows. Security and traffic police were rude and threatening. Never will return…
Riot Fest, your app won't work with a VPN. I appreciate your willingness to troubleshoot. I use NordVPN. The app simply shows the cityscape background with no menu hamburger or any icons when on VPN. It does the same on iOS 15 (latest) and iOS 16 newly updated. Same in local WiFi or on LTE in the wild. iPhone XS Max, but confirmed on others. Feature request: cache the schedule on the phone so we can see it when the Wireless service inevitably fails due to being over capacity at the fest. The app becomes useless as soon as the connection is gone.
As an app developer, I would be embarrassed. You know the population of this festival. Yet you make it we dependent? Offline mode should be the default. Please stop developing apps.
The schedule doesn’t load on two different iphones (strangely, the app works perfectly on iPad). Without the schedule, the app is almost worthless.
I have an iPhone 6 because I refuse to accept planned obsolescence and the app crashes on startup.
