RNI Films: Photo & RAW Editor

Best film simulations in my opinion. Highly recommended. The only things I wish for: a more affordable one-time fee for different film packages, and a built-in camera module to take images directly with a certain film style.

Wirklich eine gelungene App um schnell und vorallem mobil zu brauchbaren Ergebnissen zu kommen. Von mir gibt es 4 Sterne. Den 5. Stern vergebe ich, sobald es eine Möglichkeit gibt, Rahmen um da Bild zu erzeugen, so wie bei z.B. Snapseed oder Darkroom. Ansonsten Top. Klasse Filmlooks und Ergebnisse.

I use this app so often for video editing and raw pictures.

Pretty good app, but has poblems right mow with iphone 15pro photos on export showing multiple black lines / grids on the exported photos. Update didnt fix it unfortunately

I had a Fujifilm Camera for a long time, and loved the film simulations you could apply in camera. The RNI films are a great addition to my workflow, especially for images taken with my phone. But there are 2 (3) things that could be improved: 1. Apply changes (presets?) to multiple images or a complete album, and not just one by one 2. I would love a workflow to „share“ the images from the Fotos app directly to RNI films. 3. A deticated MacOS app would be great, that could be used within Apple Fotos. At least a version for M1 chips should be possible without big effort.

Last time I reviewed this app, I gave it fewer stars mainly for some missing functions, one of which being the option to choose between saving the photo as a new file or as an edit of the original file. RNI recently implemented that feature which had also been requested in other reviews. I think it‘s wonderful to see, they actually listen to what users wish for and develop the app further accordingly. I have since canceled my vsco subscription and switched over to RNI entirely since I prefer their filters anyways and use RNI for Lightroom too. In the future I would absolutely love to see more editing tools, primarily an HSL one, as well as the possibility to reorganize the filters or choose favourites for quicker access.

I wish you could zoom in on images while editing.

I got the paid version and it rocks. Would be better if you could add cinestill to the filters

Great even if you stick with the free version. Best film simulations out there in my eyes. But please rework the start screen: of course I want to load a photo, otherwise I would not have opened the app. At least I can load an image into RNI via the share screen now. Greatly appreciated. Also: it would be great if I could save edits with the original files, like Snapseed does. An option to directly share images to messengers like Signal would be great too!!

Just tried the app over the last weeks and for single photos it’s good. I like the analog colors. Bad is that there is no batch processing for more than one photo. So when I want to Edith the photos of the day it takes ages. Also you have to save each photo. So you have a the photos double in your photo feed saved in your phone. Ridiculous is the price increase the last weeks. When I downloaded the app it costs about 30€, now 64€ is charged for one off purchase. Sadly this hinders me from paying!
