This app is a pretty scientific experiment in deep photo editing.
At RNI we wanted to make our photos look more special with less effort and more fun. So we created RNI Flashback — an app that works like film not like an app.
Using Flashback is simple. You just press the button and it generates editing options for you. And then you choose the best one. Because you’re the boss.
Unlike other apps, RNI Flashback has no pre-defined filters. Instead it mixes virtual 'chemicals' and creates a unique look every time you press the button. This transforms digital medium making it more true to life and more refreshing.
Flashback is created for everyone. But professional photographers and aficionados familiar with shooting film will especially love it. Because Flashback works more like photographic film rather than like digital software. Unlike any other existing software, Flashback uses real film data and simulates the response of real film layers by light when processing digital colours. This results in a completely unique output which can't be achieved in traditional image editors with conventional tools.
Some of its looks can be weird, some can render skintones too red. But some will be just absolutely fabulous, making for film-like colour harmony and colour separation, far beyond what’s achievable in any other piece of software you have ever tried.
Experience RNI Flashback now. Bring custom artistic flair into your photos and never get bored again.

RNI Flashback FAQ
Is RNI Flashback free?
Yes, RNI Flashback is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is RNI Flashback legit?
🤔 The RNI Flashback app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
While I can’t recommend the RNI free app highly enough, this paid app was a bit disappointing — doesn’t rotate into landscape mode or allow you to see full size image.
However, some of the random film effects are pretty good, so not a complete waste.
Amazing App
I loveee this App so vintage so cool, please never change this formule the price worth it and I really like the artsy vibes creators put on these apps. I have every RNI and They’re so different and unique !
Please please don’t ever put an option to save the filters, we want UNIQUE photo and trust the app to find something ephemeral that will please us
Simple and unique
I love the first app I got so I tried this although I find the price a bit too high.
It’s quite simple and lovely.
Is it possible to save the filter permanently?!
highly recommended for more artistic type of photographs.
Saving to camera roll freeze
There is a very annoying bug, when you save to camera roll the app freeze and there is nothing else to do but force to quit. I think for an app Worth 6 dollars one should expect not to have such a bug.
I would like to be able to swipe the photo left and/or right to go to the next or previous film simulation (filter) instead of keep clicking on the small circle at the bottom. I would like to name and save a particular film simulation so to apply it again on other photos of even better batch select/apply.
Most of all I would like to be able to save to camera roll without the need to force to quit and relaunch the app afterwards since it freezes every time. On a six dollars app that has been out there for so long time, I would think that the developer would have debugged it from anything.
If I knew about the bug I would not have spent six dollars in an app that can even take a photo.
I would like my money back.
Simply put: the most effective way to enhance your photos
Really simple to use, really not much to do, I recommend to anyone that is looking for great result without having to tweak everything. The concept makes it easy to choose between hundreds of styles/filters. Love
Helpful App
Would love to see more choices like: Adding groups of filters
-Landscape
-Portrait
Not just all the filters in one click of the button
RNI FLASHBACK
RNI Flashback. I think I could love this app. But ... I know this app is for the iPhone but it does install on the iPad and run perfectly except for trying to choose a photo from my library - all the images are blank!!! I can choose one and it will come up for editing but flying blind - don't know what the image will be beforehand. Otherwise this is a major winner for serious photographers !!!
Photos the way life works...
I love photography and film, I do it for a living. It truly is as simple as clicking an icon and BAM! The app simulates a film look. If you understand it as a tool that can generate ideas for your images then you will love it, and yeah, life kinda works that way... Some of the best photos are moments, mistakes, interruptions and accidental creations.
Nice but
Love this app. I wish it could be integrated in my Lightroom workflow but a desktop version isn’t available and not sure if it can be integrated with Lr Mobile. Also, some looks are amazing but they are generated once and cannot be saved for application on another photo for a consistent look across a photo shoot. Lack of a saturation slider is an issue. Also the white interface is incredibly straining on the eye, it should be dark like Colibri.
Am I being pranked
I downloaded on my iphone 11 pro max, and find that i am unable to edit the filters as advertised. I downloaded on my ipad thinking it's just my phone but even worse, the image is so small and had so much white space between the pic and the button. idk, i was excited to use because of the good reviews but oh well.
