Controller Support is very Broken
The controller button mapping in this game is totally messed up on every controller I’ve tested, including the Series X, Switch pro, and PS4 controllers. It’s clear that they did not test controllers at all. The controls are supposed to be mapped in the same way that they are with the console release, but for some reason, the combat controls are mapped to the D-pad, and the face buttons on the right are mapped to nothing at all, except that B is mapped to accelerate. The share/select/minus button activates your boost. I can’t believe how lazy and sloppy some of these mistakes are that are made in modern game releases. Then they don’t even fix them a full 2 years later. The rubber banding and physics are also quite different to every other release of this game. At least the touch controls are serviceable enough as long as you turn on assisted steering.
