Seems less effective since the latest update
Hi, I’ve been using Roablock since September 2022. I was very pleased because it worked well on Safari, and on September 24th, I decided to purchase the in-App premium version to unlock all features. I use it on both iPhone and iPad. However, with the latest update, the premium version has transitioned to a subscription model, either monthly or annually. Now, it feels like I bought the premium version last year, and I can no longer enjoy its benefits due to the subscription model. I can understand a subscription model is better for the long life development of the App, but it’s sad for old customers that bought the old model version; they can’t have these benefits anymore. Furthermore, I’ve noticed a decrease in the effectiveness of ad blocking. I will investigate further, but that’s my current impression. I appreciate the effort in maintaining and enhancing Roablock. While the transition to a subscription model is understandable, I hope there could be consideration for long-time users who invested in the previous version. In summary, I am currently torn between awarding 2 or 3 stars to Roablock. However, I am opting for 3 stars in the hope that these comments will serve to inspire beneficial changes, particularly for loyal users of the previous version. I firmly believe in the developers’ ability to enhance the application, and I look forward with optimism to future updates that may address the current issues.
