Disappointed
I have just bought the beginners app for £5.99 and it does not work. It only allows me to open to the first page and does not allow me to go forward just to press the back button to go back. I would have expected more from Andrew Robson. This is a complete rip Off and this should have been resolved by Andrew Robson to stop people wasting their money on this useless app. Frustrating.
Bridge user
This app is a direct repeat of Andrew Robson’s booklets but it illustrates each deal set out in his booklets. Excellent product and seems to work well. I’m only not giving 5 stars as if you have already purchased the books then it’s an expensive add on. If he could find a way of offering a discount for the 2 purchases then it would score top marks.
Doesn’t seem to work
I bought this to complement the on-line beginner’s bridge course with Andrew Robson. Having downloaded it I am unable to open it beyond an introductory page offering only a “Back” button that then takes me back to the purchase options. I’ve tried downloading numerous times and been unable to open the app to work successfully. I’m disappointed to have apparently wasted £6.99 on a bugged app.

I went all the way through the lessons from beginner to advanced at the Robson bridge school in london about six years ago but then for various family reasons stopped playing. I still had all my notes and the instruction books but the app has really helped me relearn / remember what to do and I have started again from the beginning. It’s useful having some hands to play and there are enough interactive questions to answer so you can check you have really understood the lesson. The content of the app is really good and the only reason I wouldn’t give it 5* is the app itself is difficult and slow to load after you have paid for it and it took me multiple attempts but it’s worth persevering!
Can’t open
I’m admirer of Robinson but after purchasing Hand Evaluation was not able to open
Excellent teaching app
For anyone who has a problem opening the app just press on the card itself and that will open it. It is a brilliant teaching app and I thoroughly recommend it.
Fantastic app
I learned bridge through the influence of Andrew R. His app, which recreates his Bridge book series, is wonderful. It allows you plenty of time to ponder each hand and as the cards are played, they are removed from the screen which I find much easier than a narrative. Don’t hesitate to buy the various topics (about £1 more expensive than each of the books). They are just so helpful and with an average of 40 hands per topic, it is really informative and well worth the cost. There is no better bridge tutorial available.
Useless app
I spent a lot of money downloading the various types of lessons and cannot open any of them. I found that you can only interact on the day you purchase a lesson. It keeps telling me which one s i have downloaded but I cannot open it.
Slam
I bought this last night. It let me watch about 8 hands and then got into a loop and I can not move on. It is not interactive except to tap continue. Now it won’t let me in at all. I have tried turning off iPad and deleting and reloading I am very disappointed. Do not buy.
