We are Forgotten for 2 Years

Roll20 website is cool. A mobile pocket version was a great idea but it has been 2 years since they’ve ran any updates or expanded the app. Literally only 1/3 of what is promised from the app is there. At the bare minimum they made it to look at Player Characters and that’s it. Consider me super disappointed in the Roll20 company and the Orr group or whoever this publishers name is. Shame on y’all for not having integrity and seeing this thing through.

Not quite there

For whatever reason the app will not display any spells past level 2, amongst other issues. It’s like they had a great idea and gave up half way through development. Pretty lame and not actually helpful at all.

Seems kinda broken

Dropdown menus and other functionality seems to not work on mobile. Very frustrating

You can’t make a character sheet from even. I made one on the website so I could have it here but it isn’t there. I talked to help support and they just some stuff about focusing on other glitches first. It sounded like AI to me

Doesn’t work

I can’t even create a character, and I selected 5e and it’s just blank

I waited…

I waited years for there to be some sort of updates before reviewing, but this app appears to be abandoned for both improvements and support. You can’t prep spells or roll damage, which is the main thing that it needs to do to be functional at a table. You can’t add to your inventory, but I could easily deal with that if it was functional in all of the other ways. I truly don’t understand the point of rolling out a half finished app and never adding the very few things it would take to make it a staple for Roll20 users.

A disappointment.

2 years since the last update to this app, and it’s still a mess, it’s VERY limited to what you can do… you STILL can’t roll damage.

Buy content but can’t access it.

Huuuge ball drop on roll20. I’ve been using roll20 for years now to DM. I have probably 10-15 books for dnd 5e and now the 2024 PHB. I can’t access that content in the app. I have to go to a web browser and view the content I’ve paid for thru there. In addition, there is no character creation within the app. That’s also only on the website… which is awful on mobile. The only way to view a charter sheet is to make a campaign, create the character and assign it to yourself. Then in the app you can see the campaign and view your sheet within it. But even then, it’s not great. It’s buggy. Some spells or abilities won’t even give the description or info like cast time/concentration/distance ect. After using dnd beyond for an adventure league session, I realized just how useless this app is in the current state. If the devs really make it as valuable as dnd beyond I’ll happily give it a 5 star. As of now tho. Solid 1 👎 I love the desktop version of roll20. But this app ain’t it 🥴

I can’t get anything to load or work.

It’s fully updated and I have space on my device, but I can’t get anything to do… anything at all. Imagine any feature that this app claims to have and then imagine none of them doing anything. It’s not like I didn’t give it a chance, I have attempted to use it for weeks now but to no avail.

I can’t do anything.

I can’t seem to ever be able to do any of the major things the app advertises. Seeing resources is nice ig, but I’m here for the maps…
