Romulus US History is a quiz-based application of iOS devices designed to help students review for exams in US History, such as AP US History and IB History of the Americas, as well as for unit tests and mid-term exams. Our goal in designing this program is to allow students to reinforce their content knowledge in a fun, quick and accessible way.
This app contains over 800 review questions with topics ranging from the Native Americans and Colonization to the Cold War and Contemporary America. All questions have been written or reviewed by Tom Richey, a teacher with several years of experience teaching AP US History. In order to best provide quick, accessible explanations to students, the app utilizes external links that allow students to quickly review content when needed.

The questions are meant to be helpful for using more specific examples in your free write answers (SAQ, LEQ, DBQ) but the answers are faaaarr too specific and useless information. In what world would I need to know the 3rd party presidential candidate who only got 48 electoral votes in 1968. For 70% of these questions I would say the information they give you is not only too specific but useless. Another 20% of the questions are far too easy and basic level information that don’t call for any higher level thinking. Only about 10% of these questions actually call for a reasonable level of high level thinking that tests feasible knowledge of US history.
Overly specific questions
The questions are very specific and often not the type that will be asked on the exam. I am hoping to get a refund on this app.
Good but not great
It’s helpful for reviewing before the exam. All questions are quick and in a DIFFERENT FORMAT then exam. It’s still nice but it really is just a quizlet app that is organized for APUSH by categories of each topic. one annoying thing is it doesn’t save your score after leaving a section. Only a few bugs.
Not Worth It
Most of the questions asked in this app are not even relevant to the AP exam. For example, you will rarely be asked dates of bills, but this app has lots of questions about that. I even got a question that had the WRONG ANSWER marked as correct. Don’t waste your time, it would be better spent either on Quizlet or studying your notes from class.
Great Way to Review
To be honest, it is quite simple. Just a multiple choice quiz for many topics about US History. However, it includes additional information when you don't choose the correct answer. I like it and I'd recommend if you want to quickly learn. Obviously, this isn't meant for everyone. $1.99 isn't a lot for just a few quizzes. I'd appreciate looking at study guides or lists to help one understand what happens in certain periods.
boo.
You really don’t need this... like at all. The questions are pretty trash and a lot of them are irrelevant to what is actually on the test. I wish I could give it 0 stars tbh
A Bit Helpful but not really necessary.
This app is very much like quizlet and the good part is that it’s fast and quick to help you learn info. However, the questions aren’t in the AP multiple choice format. There are no true or false questions on the exam, but many of the questions in the app have this format. Adding real prep multiple choice questions from practice APUSH exams would be really helpful so students can have a basic idea of the format. Other than that, I was that the app was organized into the different periods which was helpful. Also the option of looking at info regarding your wrong answer really helped. I would recommend this app.
Not a stimulus based app, but incredibly useful
A lot of people give this app a hard time because they think it’s meant to give stimulus based questions, but it’s not. However, it is perhaps the most useful tool I had for the exam since it helped me identify what time periods I needed to brush up on #letsgetthisbread
PLEASE DONT BUY
This app looks helpful yes. I was looking for help with reviewing for the AP US history exam and I found this app to help review. PLEASE DONT BUY IT. This app is a multiple choice review app and the bad part is that it asks questions that are too specific and not helpful in studying concepts and events that will be in the AP exam. It will ask a question about who passed a certain bill which is not helpful compared to a question that helps you review what the act actually is. I would NOT recommend this app. Don't waste your time and money on this app when you could be using other resources to study that are actually helpful. One last time DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY I am genuinely triggered after buying this app.
Use quizlet
Decent app because it gives you information if you get it wrong but I was expecting better. It’s very similar to quizlet but quizlet is free therefore BETTER. Just use quizlet don’t waste your money it’s not that good!!!
