eventually I made a connect! What I discovered is that if you have a BT SmartHub you will now doubt have the My BT app. The thermostat for some reason gets put into a default group in the app even without connecting. Remove the thermostat (shows as unknown_xxx) from the default group and it connects. Just the sort of thing Joe non IT person would discover with the non existent support I have had.

Very hard to added a new thermostat application don’t want operate with Wi-Fi I hope it will be fixed soon.

Sometimes it’s just not working ! The app needs some updates ! Otherwise, a good app... Until updated, I will not give stars ! Developers, are you going to do anything about this ?

Works well remote works using iPhone temperature differential a bit wide for off and on so have to set above for on required temp then step back to precise temp or will stay on 5 deg past set temp just had apply watch and unable to get app to sink to watch very annoying

I bought two of these thermostats and they worked OK at first although it is very difficult to understand what the various settings and controls do. I changed my ISP and can no longer connect to my Wifi. I plan to ditch the thermostats and app- waste of time and money

Bought the device but can’t configure the device, I mean can’t connect it at all. The WiFi symbol on LCD. Keep flashing

It not support 4g , waste of money only works at home

I have five wifi thermostats (£15 each) controlling five rooms with underfloor heating. A bit of a fiddle to set-up but once done works well. Remote control if I go on holiday and forget to switch off schedule. Would get five stars if could interact with Alexa or IFTTT so could be even smarter. Can’t complain for money and free service.

OK, I bought this device to remotely control my Electric Central heating. Had problems connecting to my BT Smart Hub. It’s a dual band (2.4 and 5GHz) model hub provided by BT. It won’t connect AT ALL. Tried a multitude of setting on the Hub....No joy 😟. I have a iPhone 6 and an ipad, so I used the hotspot facility of the phone and hey ho, the iPad connects to the device via my iPhone only. So, as long as I leave my phone near the heating controller, I will be able to connect to device? Sort of defeats the purpose of the Wi-fi ability to connect to it remotely where ever you wish to be in the world. It was a cheap solution which doesn't quite work for me.

Complicated to use and when you do it never connects, if these people also make the thermostat that would explain a lot! Steer we clear
