This is a good game but I really wish they had the gym trainers and Meowth

Amazing Pokédex overall!

RoguePr0xy on

This has been by far the best looking and working Pokédex right now on the App Store for me. My only issues that came up more than once were the lack of location documentation for the legendaries (like Entei or Azelf) in Alpha Sapphire and possibly other games. Unless it’s unobtainable via encounter, the locations should always be documented. Other than that though this app has been awesome, and very user friendly. Thank you to the devs who have made such a quality Unofficial dex

Kept crashing

Anytime I’d tap a random Pokémon or anything, the whole app would jus crash.

Potential, but wasted potential

Scarlet and Violet are still missing. There is so much potential here. The app is fun and interactive. But dear lord adding Pokémon to the dex takes forever. I was a user prior to Sword and Shield and waiting on that to get added nearly a YEAR after the games release had me looking elsewhere. Now, 2 full DLCs later we STILL don’t have the Scarlet and Violet Pokémon added. It’s a pretty app but that’s about all there is now. If you’re looking for something that’s up to date when you need it, this isn’t it.

"RotoGO Pokédex: Your Customizable Pokémon Companion"

The RotoGO Pokédex is an incredible tool for any Pokémon enthusiast. Its integration of micro-actions to enhance the Pokédex experience is a game-changer. While the base features are already impressive, the ability to customize and upgrade—such as adopting themes reminiscent of Team Rocket, various Gym Leaders, or possibly even the Elite Four—adds a delightful layer of personalization. Although I'm not entirely sure about all the available micro-transactions, the themes I've encountered seem fitting for their respective inspirations. The option to customize the color scheme and even the assistant character (like switching from Roto to a Meowthbot) depending on the selected theme is a nice touch. Moreover, the thematic music that accompanies each theme enhances the overall experience, making it feel more immersive. Yes, these customizations come at a cost, but considering the amount of money spent on less meaningful things, the investment in something as well-crafted as the RotoGO Pokédex seems entirely justified. This app is not only a tool; it's a comprehensive companion for building teams, locating items, and understanding how to acquire them across every game, which is invaluable for both new and returning players. As someone who stepped away from the Pokémon world after Generation II and has only recently returned, I find the RotoGO Pokédex to be an essential resource. Now, with the series reaching Generation IX, it's been a long journey, but the RotoGO Pokédex makes it easy to catch up and dive back into the Pokémon universe. My renewed interest was sparked by the Pokémon Journeys series on Netflix, which resonated with me on a deeply nostalgic level and brought back cherished memories from my childhood. In conclusion, the creators of the RotoGO Pokédex have done something truly remarkable. Their dedication and innovation have not only rekindled my love for Pokémon but have also provided a tool that enriches the gaming experience for fans old and new. For that, they deserve immense recognition and appreciation.
