A problem with tablet projects on iPad

Just started using it but on my iPad 9.7 inch 6th gen (iOS 15.1) device it won’t play my tablet project in landscape. I just get a shrunken image in the middle of the screen. It works in portrait mode for tablet but with screen clipped at the sides. It works OK with phone projects. Any help would be appreciated.
