App records any trip in any car, not just yours

One of the main problems I have with this app is the fact that it tracks your mileage, even if you are the passenger in someone else’s car. If you set it to passenger it won’t affect your score if you’re on your phone or the person driving is speeding at all, but it’s still gathering info to track how many miles you’ve supposedly driven by the end of the year. Why isn’t there a device that goes in your car like the drive safe program so that it follows YOUR vehicle and not someone else’s? I got this app because it came with cheaper insurance company option but I don’t know that it’s even saving me money. It also does not have accurate speed limits so it says you’re speeding even if you aren’t. Super annoying

Fix face recognition

I put my phone in a cradle on my dash and it picks up my face a few times each drive and your stupid app digs me for “ driving, distracted” and I never touch my phone. And we need to be able to report when it has the wrong speed limits.

Doesn’t track trips

The diagnostic is ok, but still the app doesn’t track trips… I even lost my policy discount because of it just failing to track my trips If you try to reinstall it, it will not let you in with your activation code. So stupid, I had to change my code via insurance company

INACCURATE

Been using the app a month and half now. First my (Time of day) score is less than at the half mark. I rarely drive at night. Plus how can someone dictate what time I drive? I feel like that a invasion of privacy. Second the speed limits are inaccurate. Regardless I speed or not my score doesn’t do past 7.0. I have had perfect driving weeks and my score is just that. I have had weeks with a few distractions and speeding and my score dropped. As far as the distractions score.. I use my GPS on my phone and listen to my music while driving. OH WELL..

Can’t open the app

SerafinaC91 on

The app crashes before it fully opens. I was able to use it for a few weeks before this. If I delete the app and redownload, I’ll get penalized by my insurance for deleting the app. I’m sure I’d need a new code, which is linked to my plan. Guess I’ll just get demerits for the way others drive while I’m in their vehicles since I can’t change the trip type!

Time of day rating unnecessary

poopdealer420 on

United States

my time of day rating is always low and i do not drive late at night. i assume it’s because i drive during rush hour but i have a job, i simply cannot avoid that. that angers me a lot because driving during rush hour doesn’t mean i am not driving safely. fix this cause maam i could work 3rd shift and my rating would plummet for commuting to work? ok.

God awful app

Fire313 on

This app just puts me as the driver every single time and I always have to change it manually.

Penalties

LFolden on

The way this app penalizes is quite ridiculous. I pulled out of my parking spot and forgot to start my navigation app, parked and started it, I had not even left the parking lot and it pinged me for distracted driving. Also there needs to be a way for your passenger to use your phone to change music, add stops on the gps etc and not be pinged for it. I’m also annoyed that it pings me for the time of day that I drive. I’m sorry, let me only leave my house, work, or school during the time you feel it’s appropriate…

Must be stopped

JRB2k on

United States

This kind of app invades privacy. It promotes distracted driving by making you think more about the app than driving the car. Also it can’t differentiate between a passenger and a driver. Also they should make the app available as a test to learn if it drains your phone causes bad driving habits etc before agreeing to use it for a few dollars off premiums.
