UPDATE 2: I found a workaround to the split screen/background audio issue. If your device supports stage manager, you can have your PDF books open in the same window as this app and audio will not cut out. Win! UPDATE: I found two major downfalls of this app on iOS. It doesn’t split screen and doesn’t run audio in the background so I can’t run this split screen with any rule or campaign book while I’m playing. I recently started playing TTRPG’s with my family and my friends and GM/DMing. I started making most of the sound effects by mouth, or beating on the table whatever the story called for. I thought about using a sound board to have premade sounds so I went hunting. There are quite a few apps sprinkled between Android, iOS, and Windows. I tried them all, and this one so far is my favorite. I grabbed it on steam, but my laptop is honestly just too unwieldy to bring to a table game, so I’m running it from my iPad. I’ve set up a few encounters on here and love that I can make presets and import my own music and SFX. My only real complaint with this app is that some of the buttons are pretty small for the UI, and the scroll bars are difficult to grab with my fat finger some times, but not that big of a deal if I use my apple pencil. UI shortcomings aside, I highly recommend this app to any DM who’s looking to add a little more ambiance to their gaming experience. Great job to the devs and pretty stoked they put development time into the mobile market.
