Well done

I’ve had rpn calculators for over 40 years. This app is a perfect simulation in today’s technology. Excellent!

Absolutely Amazing

If you are a RPN fan, this is a stunning app! A robust and feature-rich HP-97 implementation, it has a large embedded library of historic and new “card” programs. Excellent documentation and additional downloadable programs are available on the developer’s website. Superb in every way.

I love the app I just wish the printer was more realistic. So when I print something it sounds like it’s doing something.

A true work of creative genious and brilliant programming

This app should receive some type of award for it absolute 100% accuracy to the legendary HP calculator which it emulates. As an advanced assembly, C, C++, Objective-C, LISP, etc., I must say that this developer has extraordinary skills. I still have one of the original HP 97’s, and most of my magnetic program cards are still readable. Thanks to this app, I am able to read off the memory cards to the calculator and then program into the iPad and no I will never lose the hard work I put into those programs many, many years ago! I have managed to create an (enterpriseª) that should easily plug into this app which allows reading data from the old Hewlett-Packard striped magnetic card via a credit card reader plugged into the headphone jack of the iOS device. If the developer is interested in the source code, I’ll be happy to provide it to him. We all know memory cards, especially from the late 70s and early 80s are very volatile and, as time passes, more prone to non-recoverable memory loss. As I mentioned above, this beautifully designed app allows us to enjoy the simplicity of cutting edge at the time! It makes one appreciate how much has changed over that past 30-40 years. While my interest in recovering the data off of the cards is mostly nostalgic, some of the programs I created are unbelievable for the time period in which they were made! It goes to show how far ahead of the curve HP was, and somewhat still is (but declining rapidly, in my humble opinion), in the field of calculator technology. I have run some tests to compare accuracy between devices and, when running in the non-enhanced speed (e.g. the actual native operational speed of the HP), the results are within milliseconds a beach other and the calculations 100% accurate 99.9% of the time (mostly due to the emulation layer for the HP procesor -> ARM architecture, if I had to guess). Besides, we’re talking discrepancies of several inverse orders of magnitude (therefore, neglible). Awesome job, thanks for updating to the iPad PRO resolution, you are a true hacker my friend. ª - As both a standard Apple Developer and an Enterprise/VPP Developer, the card reader was created via my enterprise account and, thus, is not currently available on the app store. If the developer contacts me (just reply to the comment), I’ll make changes to the app to permit approval on the general app store and provide the source code for the framework to CuVee Software, free of charge under the GNU Lesser Res

Have the actual hardware but it doesn't work. This app works great! It comes with a ton of software. Sure there are modern apps that work more efficiently but every time I use RPN-97 I marvel how clever it is. The developer's website is a treasure trove of HP memories. In addition the app has some modern features that can be activated. Many thanks for the great memories it gives me!

Wonderful App!

I used this calculator for work and pleasure back in the 90's and loved it. I have no idea what happened to it. This app is a perfect replacement. I'd rate it 10 stars if I could. On the developer's web site you can download most of the program cards written by HP and many others written by users. The developer has really enhanced the original calculator and promises more to come. There is an option in the settings to use the enhanced version; it has an extra 100 storage registers that can be accessed just like the original registers; it has 1,000 program steps; it has the ability to print ASCII characters; it has many additional functions accessed by an new EXT key. The paper tape of your calculations can be emailed or printed. This app is well worth the price.

Another Winner!!

I have purchased all of the previous HP RPN calculators by Cuvee and use one or two of them every day. Usually the HP-45 for routine calculations and HP-70 for anything having to do with finance. However I am even more impressed by the implementation of the HP-97. This is truly a work of art. Better than the original from HP which cost about $750 during the 1970's. It has now become my go-to calculator. HP led the way with products that have not been equalled for day-to-day calculations. Cuvee and Apple have now brought these designs into the digital age. I wish you great success. My only concern is that you are running out of HP products to emulate.

Fabulous simulator

As a big fan of the original RPN-97 Pro and the owner of an actual working HP 97 calculator, I am blown away with this new simulator of the HP 97. The quality of the interface and graphics are very good and are top quality in feel and look of the real thing, not to mention an insanely expanded and powerful extended function set. Simply fabulous.

Just wild

I don't "need" any of these kinds of apps but I've got almost all of them. I had the real ones back in the day, including this 97 and it's just a blast to play around with it....great memories. It's incredibly well implemented, particularly the support for the cards. Must-have for any HP calc aficionado.
