I haven’t had any real issues with the voiceover gestures, but they are finicky. I feel like the sensitivity is too low. sometimes they don’t even register or the game thinks I’m doing one gesture, but I’m doing a completely different one at times. The biggest downfall of this app is the fact when you type in any section of the app that has a text field or even if you go to that screen by accident, you can’t go back to the previous screen or menu. I wish I could use the chat feature during my Uno games to chat with my current friends and new people that I want to chat with and possibly make more new friends with, but when you’re on a screen with a text field or you’re in the chat, you just basically get soft block and can’t continue playing the game because it doesn’t let you go back to the game screen and there’s no back button either. when you start typing into a text field, you can hide the keyboard with the two finger scrub gesture, but after you do that voiceover stops responding completely. I don’t mind that I half to pay a few dollars to play one of these games unlimitedly, but it’s such a poor design that you can’t even return to the previous screen and it’s so annoying. if the gestures weren’t so finicky, and if there’s a way to return to the previous screen, then I would give this five stars. Plus in Uno when you’re playing with 1 - 3 players it can get confusing because you need to keep track of how many cards your opponent has so I wish you could also assign a gesture that lets you know how many cards each opponent has because then they can basically get away with not saying “Uno” all the time because how are blind players able to tell if someone has Uno or not? or at least just add some type of audio queue that lets you know when that player has Uno.
Gestures
This is a good game app for people who are blind or visually impaired. However, if you could add more gestures for each game it would be very helpful. It’s hard to know from one game to the other where all of the gestures are. They are not clearly displayed when use switch from one game to another.
For example when playing Uno there’s no help in the help section that tells me what gesture would let me know what the discarded card is during the Uno game.
Again please find another place that is easier to access different gestures for each game that you’re playing. Please do not leave any gestures out is harder to play this app on an iPhone when you don’t know where all of the gestures are, and you’re assuming that everybody knows all of the gestures for each game. That is not true.
Broken
Hello. I just tried re-downloading RS Games, and it is broken. I was able to double tap on the allow button when first opening the app, but when I double tapped on the skip button under the new release section, it didn't work. So, I had to find the skip button, turn off VoiceOver, and touch it. Then, I had to do that again when skipping the part that talks about new blindfold games. Finally, when I click the start playing button, it takes me to settings. If these issues could be fixed for us VoiceOver users, that would be wonderful. Thank you.
Don’t waste your time
Not great for visually impaired people!
Time to go back to using the computer client
first of all, no need of brown support, second of all, using dictation with this is awful, and third of all, paying for every game? Yeah no way, I have a feeling that the developers cares about is money and not the game or the players, I’m going back to the PC client, because it is way way way better
to easy to get band
theys chat rules are way to stricked , it didn't last 2 munths, terrible ,
Great game
I love RS Games, I played the free trial week like a year ago, and I finally was able to purchase some of the games.
I understand how some people don’t, won’t, can’t, or don’t want to purchase the games, the prices are really nuts, like tbh, I think most of the $5 games should be $2 instead, I’d buy all of them if that was the case, but currently I’ve only bought 4 of the games because of how expensive it would be to purchase all of them. Now with that said, that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t enjoy them, I play of 4 of my games I’ve bought every day, they are addicting, and also, thank goodness for the bot system, since when I want to play in the mornings for me, sometimes nobody is active anywhere.
Now on to the speed of replying. I will agree that I wouldn’t be able to keep up in chats if I didn’t have a bluetooth keyboard that I bought from Wall-Mart, but there isn’t much in my mind that the devs can do to help out us, since having to double tap on each letter will always take a long time. Also, my bluetooth keyboard was $20, and it lasts me about 4-7 months perh keyboard until I have to buy another, and it helps out majorly with schooling and other things too, like using Discord, and texting friends, so I’d definitely recommend that any blind person having troubles with speed typing should buy one, or maybe buy one in the future if you can’t right now.
Anyways, great gaming app all around devs, you did great. My only wish was that all the game’s prices were lowered a bit. But even then, it’s just a one time purchase, and I definitely see myself playing this game years from now, so maybe I should stop complaining over the price, I mean, $4 for a forever game is pretty nice. Oh also, it would be epic if you guys could build a better pm service, right now I have to ask people to repeat if I accidentally swiped and made rs’s voice stop talking, like dude, there isn’t even a log of what the person said smh.
Also, maybe build a support server thing, kind of like a game, but it would be for support tickets that you can create and keep open, and other players can access them and answer your questions.
Also, there is a bug where if there is a grid, like with battle ship, when you type in chat in a game, the grid disappears, can you fix this please?
That’s it for now, keep developing your game, you guys have stopped a year ago and I wonder if there has been anymore bugs sense then that you guys haven’t fixed. But as long as the game still works for most people, I won’
Need help
I want to purchase more of the games or the game bundle but I cannot find any way to do so. I currently have purchased Yatzy and really love it. But I’d like to play some other games and I’m not able to seem to be able to purchase them through the app.
Bad
The chat support is terrible. Sometimes it won't send the message when you press enter and you have to close the app to fix the problem, thus abandoning your game. You can't use braille screen imput or dictation in chat, so the process of typing a message is painfully slow. The navigation is super tidious, , and don't get me started about paying for just about every game. This dev is notorious for charging insanely for each and every game he makes. I would even go so far to think that he only cares about making money and not about making quality apps, this app being a perfect example of that. At this point I think I'll just stick to the web client. It may not have music or sound effects, but it's free and it actually works.
why should I pay with games when I’m under 18 years old?
or for what I understand with payment. All right, so here’s my review. Honestly I don’t think you have to pay for any games. I like that it’s accessible and all? But it’s just that having to pay for every game is frustrating. That’s all I have other than saying well, I just don’t want the leg of having to pay when someone under the age of 18 is using it. Only 18 years or older can pay, or something.
