Become a faster developer

Published by: Brainscape

Description

HACKERS: Quick, what's the command to open the Rails console for the current RAILS_ENV? What does the command "rails dbconsole/db " do?
Most coders learn the craft by doing: writing code. But whenever you CAN’T code (standing in line at the post office, stuck in a boring meeting), you CAN use Brainscape to get better at coding...WITHOUT actually coding.
Save yourself time you’d waste on Googling these Rails commands: Brainscape’s smart flashcard system will burn these them into your brain
Enjoy the app, and let us know how we can improve it.

Ruby on Rails Commands Reviews

Well worth the time

Pethl on

United Kingdom

I started learning rails this week. By day I am using Internet tutorials etc but in the evening I wanted an app to help me build my rails knowledge further. I played with this app for 30 mins one night. The next day I was genuinely surprised and very pleased to realise I had new and useful rails commands at the from of my mind. It made my next day twice as productive. I am working now to gain confident mastery of all content in this app. Update 6 months later, still using app for short burst learning when I am away from my work desk, still find new commands I am not aware of or using as I should. Great app, don't think you know rails until you reach mastery of all cards.

Why rails 2

EdenT89 on

Rails 3 has been released for over 2 years and offers numerous improvements, so why bother making an app for rails 2?

I want to become a coder and enter the world of coding. I am going to begin with the flash cards. Brainscape believes this is the way of the future and so I am going to star here.

Good for beginners, like me.

Terrible

There is no reason this app needs an internet connection or a login. It's just a flash card app.

An App that needs an App that needs....

It's not like download and run it. It's more like download and get annoyed. It's spam.

Stupid review

Vinny1575 on

The person leaving a bad review because they are getting notifications from their dead mother is an idiot. Please disregard. That's not how notifications work.

Reminders are Offensive

Terryn1992 on

Some of the study reminders are really tactless and when i reached out to support with the issue, they stated it would be removed with their next update. Well, thats come and gone and im still being reminded by my recently and unexpectedly deceased mother that i need to study code. It happened twice just this week. Not at all satisfied with the lack of integrity theyre showing in the matter. Uninstalled the app.
