Sacramento's K-ZAP

A mutual dog-park person told me about the DJs on this station and about the musical genre this station is dedicated to and supports. Put the app on my phone, and CSN&Y’s “Country Girl” from Déjà Vu was playing. Wow, I have not heard that for years. The next song was by Nirvana, with those grainy, raw, vulnerable-sounding vocals. I don’t know what else to say. Just fantastic to have this station in our area. It does Sacramento proud.

Non profit radio is wonderful! I love limited ads. And that is why I financially support K-Zap so I can continue to enjoy it! Great mix of music from my teenage years to new stuff from both older artists and folks I’ve never heard of. Yeah, for a great station!

So glad to hear Mick Martin is landing at K-ZAP! Been listening to the Blues Party for some 30 years on Public Radio, and was shocked to learn he (and others) had been unceremoniously shown the door. I grew up in Sacramento but moved to east coast so being able to tune in my favorite station of my youth is great.

Great stuff , great music. You guys, with the exception of that poor mixed upScott Forrington ——where’d you guys find that crazed little psychotic anyway , are great. Keep it up, pleeeez. ( just kidding , Scott makes my weekend, you little psycho.

The true testament to this station is the amount of new music it will cause you to download. The number of new artists I heard on my satellite rock channels was zero. I’ve probably added albums from 40 new bands I would have never learned about on the other station. I grew up on K-ZAP and it’s so nice to still have it.

Unlike all the other stations which recycle a rotation of the same songs, K-ZAP playlist is just phenomenal, seemingly infinite. Guaranteed you won’t hear the same song twice in the same week or even month. Not just oldie but goodie top 20 list blasts from the past but also rarities and b-sides. Keep ROCKIN K-ZAP !!!
