Saffron FAQ
Is Saffron free?
Yes, Saffron is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Saffron legit?
🤔 The Saffron app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I think this is hands down the best recipe app I have ever used (and I’ve tried a lot). It has a sleek interface on the web and the app. It recognizes recipes from everywhere -even Reddit posts. And it creates grocery lists without duplicating items like most other apps do. Truly the best!
However, 60$ a year is too expensive for an app. I would never pay that for any app, even a fantastic one like this. The pricing is just not competitive with other recipe apps… For that reason alone, I go with the competitors.
Best cookbook/recipe app ever
The best app for cooking or recipes. Sorts out the steps and ingredients for you from any recipe site that I’ve used. Clean interface. The developer must have worked really hard and I hope they support the app for a long time
Great app
Just a fantastic app.
Find a recipe online on my computer -> import it to saffron -> add ingredients to shopping list -> go to the grocery store with my list on the phone.
All of that in about one minute.
Then I can easily redo recipes I’ve enjoyed. The pictures help me to remember the recipes I’ve enjoyed and that I feel like eating now.
Overall, this app has extremely simplified my cooking flow and I highly recommend!
Small request
Hey
Great app
I’m using dark mode on my device
Some data entry has white text over white background
Simply wanted to let you know
What I’ve noticed is after hitting the + buttons
:)
Essential - the one place to put all our best recipes
When I discovered this app it felt like an epiphany. I’d been trying to keep track of our favorite recipes in a google doc, with links, notes, descriptions, etc, but this just does everything we need.
My wishes:
- Make an iPad version! I use iPad for cooking much more than iPhone.
- Sharing! It doesn’t work for me and my wife. We want to keep a single family cookbook, and sometimes just share recipes, but it hasn’t worked when sharing and saving.
Not letting me upgrade
I love the app it’s helpful and useful and I want to upgrade the app for the extra space for recipes but it isn’t allowing me to upgrade through the website.
Great but needs space
Is there going to be an expansion for having more than 25 recipes? I’m bummed I have to delete to store new. It’s amazing otherwise
I am amazed!
This app not only executes it’s main purpose (auto populating a personal recipe book with recipes found online), it also looks elegant. This is one of the most creative solutions, with sound execution, that I can find on the App market place. I highly recommend anyone give this a try, even if you don’t cook much. The beauty of the application takes all the ads, product placements, pop ups and general noise away from a cook book website. Which allows me to focus on what I need to know…which is how to cook a delicious meal.
Awesome App
This is one of those apps where I selfishly don’t want it to become popular so it doesn’t get transformed where it becomes one of those annoying apps with all the advertisements, etc. But realistically, I understand if the developer wants to make their return from developing this great app. So if it goes to that, I hope there will be a pay option to avoid the ads.
So far, I’ve been using the app for just under a year and I have no complaints, so don’t change a thing. Thank you!
Great App!!
Found out about this on a podcast (kitchen counter podcast) and have been playing with it ever since! As an aspiring home chef this has been a great tool to be able to keep my recipes on my phone or iPad and edit and reword recipes as needed! LOVE IT!!!
