Sainte-Chapelle stained glass

We downloaded the app before visiting and it helped us identify the individual stories. The chapel is overwhelming and this provides clarity.

We found this app while sitting in sainte-chapelle trying to figure out the stories the glass told. While the church has some cards which tell you broadly what each huge window represents, thus app tells you exactly how each tiny window tells the biblical stories. Better yet, you can pick any piece of glass and zoom in to see the incredible details up close. Lastly, someone tapped us on the shoulder while we were using the app and revealed that he was the app’s creator. He works in the chapel and saw the need for such an app.

I was in the chapel using this app, and the app’s designer came up and shared more information about the windows. An incredible bonus. Of course that’s not going to be the usual experience. Nonetheless, the app helps you decipher the windows, which are otherwise impossible to understand even if you know your Bible.
