Money grab
Used to play this and thought I’d try again. Played with ads and all was fine. Then I bought it and it’s impossible to get through the level without purchasing a helper. Such a scam. As annoying as it is, it’s better and less stressful to play with ads!
This version sucks
The old sally spa was so much better. This new version has ads and is basically a rip off. In order to get upgrades you need to pay for it. Don’t download this version - stick with the older one. Very disappointed.

Pay to win
Ruined the game. I’m fine watching some ads but now I have to pay for things I used to be able to just unlock by playing the game 🙃 And the game is just too busy with in app purchases for me to enjoy. Just bugs my eyes. Played it for 5 seconds and deleted it
Ridiculous Monetization
It started off well enough, but then after two levels it starts requiring you to watch an ad before every level, or you could pay to have no ads, as it also reminds you before every level. Travelling between stages takes 8 real-time hours, or you can spend a huge chunk the currency you gathered in game, instead of using it to upgrade your setup, though coincidentally you could pay real money for that too. Some upgrades that you used to able to save up for in game can now only be bought with real money, and not a ‘pay once to access them’ thing, but paying for each individual one. Playing for free is virtually impossible, unless you’re content to only play 5-10 minutes each day

You literally have to pay real money for everything in this app. Bring back the old one, this one is terrible

Like many this was a game from my childhood that I loved deeply. I was so excited to find it back again and as others have said, pretty much right away it’s impossible to move forward without spending real money on upgrades. They do it in such a sleezy way.
