Currently on its 15th edition , it has become a standard health practitioner's medicine reference guide, respected for accuracy of content and independence from the pharmaceutical industry. It is now available on this mobile application and supported by a web portal (https://samf-app.com/) which subscribers will have access to.

Does not work

I use iOS 17.5.1 and the app does not work, it just keeps sending me back and forth to the login & subscription pages even though I’m subscribed.

Trustworthy info

Takes some time to get used to the app, but love having the info at my finger tips.

Useless App

Tyroner123 on

South Africa

This App is a waste of money and time. User interface is buggy and slow. Cannot open most drugs. Searching for Voltaren only brings up topic treatment for eyes. Searching for Prednisone brings up long list but tapping on Prednisone brings no result. The developers must go back to drawing board.

Great to have but glitchy

CitizenBonaparte on

App and Website (on iPhone) has been glitchy. Some drugs won’t open, can’t close the drop down menu with the “x” (on the website). Better and more authoritative content than EMGuidance but too glitchy.

Extermely useless app

The search function has absolutely no use: you can search for a drug but that is it. You cannot click on the available options. I end up using google instead. To make it worse: you have to PAY for this rubbish.

App doesn’t work

Rrrrobmc on

South Africa

Downloaded the app, completed registration, chose payment plan, then nothing. Can’t use the app. Every time I attempt to login it wants me to choose a payment plan again. But I can’t get further than that. Hope I am not going to get billed.

Missing an index

Noel buff on

South Africa

Oddly, the app doesn’t provide for the way that most clinicians use the paperback SAMF: scrolling through the alphabetical list of drug names and then going to the page with all the relevant prescribing information for the particular drug… The app seems to be set up as a crash-course in pharmacy… only useful if you are looking for a crash-course in pharmacy…

Why are subscriptions only applicable to IOS?
