SAND Reviews

short. not worth $2

good game but way too short. you only get one level and then have to pay for the other 2. very difficult if you like that sort of thing but it is definitely not worth paying $2.

Great Minimalist game that I enjoyed allot. It’s not too difficult but it has it’s moments. If you are new to these type games then it’s a good game to start with. Have a diary to follow wish your tasks and it helps to keep you on task if you can’t play everyday, the one thing I would have liked more is a map to know where I’m at! No clues to buy which is “terrific” no money needed to keep going, you really can’t beat that…. Me, I am looking for more by this developer.

It’s cute but short

I found this game late. It came out years ago. The update said “first chapter free” so I decided to try it out… At the end of the first chapter, it prompted me for $1.99 to buy the full game. It’s only $2 so who cares… I finished it in literally 11 minutes after paying the $2. Seems a bit short after paying. Like why bother? Give it away for free at this point. I would’ve looked for other games by you but now I feel cheated. 🤷‍♂️

just a demo

i think the title of this review speaks for itself. but you don’t get to play the whole game. you get to play for 2-5 mins and then it’s locked behind a paywall

I would have rated it 5 stars but I didn’t like the ending. It felt rushed and disconnected.

Too short

Too short for a paid game. Fun puzzles and adventure.

Great game but disappointingly short

The art for this game was beautiful and the puzzles were pretty fun, but for a pay to play game it ends much too quickly. I know this is more of an indie game so I’m not mad it was $2 to play through, but it felt like the story ended abruptly and the ending was rushed.

Unplayable glitch

I have an iPhone 17 with the ios 17 floating island at the front facing camera, which means that when I am playing, the arrows to turn to the left are completely inaccessible. The "back arrow" is in line with the swipe-up bar, so that's annoying too. There were no left turns like this in the demo portion so I had no idea before purchasing. Seems fun but too frustrating with the UI not accounting for margins.

Just right!

It’s not often I get to the end of a game and say, “Holy ****!” at the completion of the story, but I did on this one…twice. It’s a nice little game for an excellent price IMO. I used hints pretty frequently when I couldn’t quite tell what a puzzle wanted me to do, but I never had to resort to “easy mode.” The puzzles all had solutions I found logical, unlike some other puzzle games, where I often have a reaction of “how was I supposed to figure THAT out” if I’m having trouble with a solution. The coin puzzle seems to trip up a lot of people, and I agree that it made use of some algebra which I’d have found easier if I broke out some scratch paper. But as far as I can tell, there is only one solution for X. That was maybe the most satisfying to solve! The one I struggled with the most was the antidote puzzle, because it took me way too long to figure out I was allowed to do something that was required for at least some of the solutions. The only puzzle I solved by accident was the one where you slid around a bunch of squares to put them in the right order. I thought I knew what I was supposed to do and then about halfway through it “unlocked” and I’m still not quite sure why that was the solution. All in all, I really enjoyed this game, and I’m interested in seeing other games from this developer.
