Cart is Empty message?
Each time I order, I immediately see a full screen message saying, “Your Cart is Empty”. I’ve experienced food ordering apps that abort the order if you take too long (such as getting ready to leave before pressing the final button) so I immediately wonder if the order went through or aborted. On one occasion I thought the order aborted so I did everything all over again. Fortunately the store owner has encountered this many times before, asked if I wanted the duplicate cancelled, and undid the duplicate. Can you instead display “Your order is being processed”? Perhaps this would involve taking the customer away from the ordering screen. From now on I’ll remember to view Transaction History before ordering a duplicate. EDIT: I notice a very brief screen that I think says my order is being processed, but it only flashes for about 1/10 second so I cannot read it. Can you make it last at least 2 seconds (maybe even 5 seconds)?
