Sasol eBirds Southern Africa Reviews

396 bird species NOT 989

KyleWolmarans on

South Africa

I have had this app for a while, however i do not have full access to all the bird species. My app only gives me 396 bird species after I have bought the full app. I am not happy about this since I really have been enjoying the app

Nice enough

It would be really useful to have the facility to compare birds next to each other. If you're not sure about a bird you often have 2 or 3 possibilities that you need to compare and identify

Wonderful app. However, what is the benefit of the family sharing facilty of X6 members if I am the purchaser & have to pay the full purchase price for family member sharing.

No vultures

Is the vulture not a bird? perhaps it’s an amphibian or a rodent?? Never found that in my Sasol e birds?

Great application

Fantastic and very useful app, however I feel that it is missing a few birds, such as the black-chested prinia. Has anyone else encountered this?

Great for novice birders

Perfect app for new birders. Would have rated 5stars but it seems like when location is ON, many birds are not shown that is in the area. I almost thought there was something wrong with the app as bird after bird I spotted was not listed. Recommend to turn location OFF until function is improved.

Almost there

HobblyGoblin on

Brilliant for usability! Lost 2 stars because iCloud backup isn’t supported. Please, please, please can we get support for iCloud backup? I lost my custom list after resetting my iPhone… Yeah, I know, RTFM, but… Manual backup and restore shouldn’t be necessary today, it kills the user experience. Especially considering the price point of this app. Please consider it.

Good app. Would love more info.

Love using the app. Would like to see some more info on nests and nesting habits as well as food and feeding habits.

I don't have all off the bird species

I have bought the full version of the app yet it only shows me around 455 species. Please fix this
