Unbearably discomforting
Unbearably discomforting that’s the only way to describe my two experiences with the SAT public bus service in Saudi Arabia. The buses are unreliable, time wasting, and oddly more expensive than you’d expect for the poor quality of service. It genuinely feels like one of the worst forms of public transportation you could ever encounter. When you compare it to the Saudi railway service, the difference is night and day and it makes you wish you could throw the entire bus system into the bin. Sadly, even the Saudi railway isn’t without fault. It’s far from accessible or sufficient for most people and feels like a state-run monopoly. Prices jump without logic, squeezing people financially every chance they get. May Allah SWT suffice us all.
