Useful app, has potential
Has a lot of potential, probably one of the better apps out there in terms of useful features: - Shows satellites that are currently overhead - Considers the time and other factors when calculating visibility - Compass allows you to point the phone at the satellite to see what it is - Globe view shows overhead satellites in context to earth - Widgets are helpful for quickly viewing ISS information However the UI has work to be done on improving it’s functionality, specifically the globe has problems when the camera gets too close to the poles, and it also doesn’t move in the right direction based on your input or match the rate of your input. Other things that don’t work properly: - In AR mode, camera only turned on the first time I used it and even though the app thought it was on, it never worked again and only operated in compass mode. - You haven’t fixed the globe movement problem and your only other review from 3 years ago pointed it out also Missing features that would improve the experience: - Home page menu/landing page when you open the app - Customisation of what tracking target gets displayed on widgets - Starlink could have some indication of if the satellite group is still visible as a train or if they’re spread out into their respective - Option to view each starlink group on globe and view transit times of whole group (for a week after launch, before they spread out, then just show the group on the globe) - Option to view all satellites at once or select groups - Option to show satellite icon instead of dot - Optimisation of graphics, currently your very basic GUI is very resource intensive
