Description

The aim of the SBRI+ tool is to provide means to assess and compare the sustainability of different bridge types, in the early stages of design, implementing a holistic Lifecycle analysis methodology. The tool features three essential modules. The first one allows for the computation of Lifecycle Analysis for a single bridge alone - given parameters and data on the bridge properties. The second module enables users to run a Multi-criteria analysis when choosing between different elements/alternatives within the same bridge design type. Comparison of the Lifecycle Analysis of different bridge types can be performed by using the third module - Comparative Lifecycle Analysis.

This tool has been developed as part of the RFCS project Valorisation of Knowledge for Sustainable Steel-Composite Bridges in Built Environment (SBRIPLUS) (contract 710068). The European Union’s Research Fund for Coal and Steel provided financial support for this application and their assistance is gratefully acknowledged.
