Scan and Check

- Scan and Check is the standard mobile phone software for scanning barcodes owned by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) to scan and check the legality of GS1 barcodes and genuine information on the products associated with the codes;
- The main application of Scan and Check is to meet the actual needs of regulatory agencies, consumers and other business units, especially of GS1 Vietnam’s member companies, for verifying the origin information of brand owners and their goods using the codes;
- Scan and Check is a direct communication channel from state management agencies to consumers. It is a useful tool for state management agencies to check information on goods;
- Scan and Check has the ability to quickly locate and zone problematic products, providing users with evidence for detecting and reporting counterfeit goods to the authorities;
- Scan and Check protects GS1 Vietnam’s member companies against negative effects by other unofficial barcode scanning softwares, protects their brand, promotes their images and products into national and international markets, facilitates processes of their management, production and trading.
