This app is a great resource for both people starting and the advanced sewing artisan. I am very new to sewing with a machine and have found conflicting information online for what I need and want to learn about needles. Pardon my ignorance but originally I had no idea there was more than one type of machine needle ( It’s pointy and pushes, just one type). I am a leather crafter who wants to make objects like bags, watch bands, wallets on an vintage sewing machine ( White rotary treadle from the 1920s). After doing research I learned that standard 15-1/2020 needles will work with my machine (Yay!). My wife recommended looking at Schmetz needles, then my mother in law did the same. Why? Because through my research online, conversations with family and talking with strangers the conclusion is that they are the best. The needles are consistent, strong, produced in multiple types and sizes, they do the job well, etc. Ok tip of the iceberg found...this large variety of products by Schmetz brings with it a vast knowledge and a lot to learn. This app simplifies and surges ( haha sewing joke) to speed up the process. You can search by type (Denim, leather etc.), learn about and search by size, learn about the anatomy of the needles and so much more. All the information here is at the ready like the ABC Pocket Guide. Thank you Schmetz for investing the time, energy and more into creating this app. I hope more people learn about it and use it.

This app answers the age old question of which needle should I use with this fabric. Also great general reference knowledge. As a sewing hobbyist this is easily one of my favorite needle references.

I use this app all the time. Really helps figure out which needle to use for which fabric and which needle is in my machine when I don’t remember what I worked on last.

I picked up this app last year, as I was beginning to learn more about needles, and I browsed through it a bit, but it largely sat there, patiently waiting for me... I have finally sat down this weekend and gone through all of the various entries, and I just wanted to thank you and congratulate you on an excellent job! I have learned many things (most importantly, what all those little numbers and color codes represent), have learned about thread weight and composition (and how to decode those numbers), and feel like I now have a much better understanding of the complexity and range that your product line covers. Thank you so much! Using your app has helped me to remember how much I enjoy being a sewing and fiber arts geek! 🤓

It's a good app, but it needs to include multi directional, spring, and titanium needles.

Need to know what size or type of needle to use on a specific fabric? Need to know what a 130/705 H means? Wondering why your fabric puckers? It easy and quick to find the answer to these types of questions. There's so much to like about this app.

App was working fine until Apple changed a feature in iOS. There is a bug in iOS that causes the “Menu” button to not appear until the iPad has been rotated into landscape mode once. After that it functions fine. Some people lock their iPad in portrait mode permanently, which makes it impossible to do anything. The heart of the bug is in the split screen view controller, which is what allows users to use the entire screen in landscape while splitting in portrait. An updated version that fixes the iOS bug should be available in a few days.

Also tried downloading three times and only get the blue logo page. Now that is all well and good, but not of much use to me. I really was looking for needle information. Well, I got what I paid for, so there you have it.

I have down loaded this app 3 times and all I get a white page with their blue logo that's it! I only give it one star to get this review posted. Other wishes it a big fat zero.
