Science News & Discoveries Reviews
My daily dose of science.
Seems to have a well balanced selection of content for a quick overview from a variety of fields. Some in depth articles, but mostly quick views. Some duplication gives you the perspectives of a number of authors which is in itself useful. Posts by readership still as dumb and ideologically influenced as the rest of the internet unfortunately.
This is my favorite sources of news
Science news was my best discovery of 2018.
Amazingly great and convenient
All good and latest scientific related articles are always available, excellent app
Ads, ads, and fluf
This app is getting worse every time I open it. When I originally downloaded the app there were ads in the feed. Then they added ads to start the app. Then they added ads after each article you read. It’s pathetic. And most of the articles are climate change or speculative. The app is almost unbearably
Ads have become intrusive!
This app’s ads were tolerable until recently. Now they are intrusive and can’t be dismissed.
Terrible experience
Endless video ads, climate-denier trolls have overrun the comment features, and half of the articles aren't even about science (and the ones that are are mostly about Australia for some reason).
Highlight of my morning news review
Excellent coverage and sane advertising
Best app ever
I have been looking for a science app and science news was amazing but there is one problem it has no other languages
Ads are extremely annoying
Great articles, but they play ads for children’s games after every single read. Not worth the hassle.
Ads appear and cannot be closed
Science News would be rated higher, but lately, ads for games will seem to randomly appear that interrupt my reading of a science article. While I might accept that occasionally, the worst part is there often is no way to close the ad to continue reading. The only option is to force close the app and start over, hoping to find the same article again, and hoping that the offending ad does not reappear. They need to fix that defect, or I’m gone.
