Unable to know the other side cards

I love playing Scopa BUT my cards are always awful and the other players always has good cards, I don’t think it’s fair!

After playing this game for about a month or so I noticed some patterns whether the computer won or I won So instead of trying to win the game I just repeatedly played the cards dealt from left to right no matter what card was on the board and the percentage of wins for myself and the computer remain pretty close to the same. the coding needs some improvement

Pretty solid app! Well done!

Good app, no ads

Love the app. My only problem is I wish you could go back and see the last cards the other player picked up when playing against the computer. I sometimes question where it found points. Other than that, solid app. No, wait 5 minutes for an ad makes me very happy.

Algorithm needs major work

Anthonyd27 on

Far too frequently find the 3 “difficult” computers commence the game with the ability to play a 7 and on 4 occasions in a 30 minute play session, saw a computer Scopa with the 7 of suns on the first play of the game. The probability of outcomes while facing difficult computers seems not to be random but by design. Algorithm for card generation requires major work as I often found myself with 2 Aces and a 2 or 3 in the final hand of a 4 player match. While I note all of the above are possibilities, the probability of seeing those situations in only 4 hours of playing the game is wildly improbable. Major work needed and best to play the 1v1 or meet up with some friends and play in person because this game doesn’t seem to get the job done.

Game off - timing and sound

We would play a card or two. But the sound played before the selected actually moved 5 seconds later. Very frustrating because the iPad is only a year old.

Next hand

It would nice to tap a button on the bottom right side of the screen to deal the next hand rather than the back arrow.

Worst version of scopa

Baylor1965 on

Don't waste your time. The cards aren't distributed in a random fashion and the game's coding makes it next to impossible to win. Very frustrating. I did an experiment and played 100 games in a row just to see how many rounds I could have picked up a card (any card) and I found less than 13% of the rounds I could have picked up a card. How could you ever win if your picking up 4-6 cards per game? I did the same thing with real cards and real people and over 100 games the collection % is closer 25%... Which reflects probability theory. Proof that this game sucks. Don't bother unless you take pleasure losing every game.

The best game ever

This game doesn’t even lag not all the other card games. If you have the option to get this I would get it immediately 😀

Impossible to win

jagssol on

Canada

I’ve played this game with real cards for over 30 years and it’s unbelievably frustrating how much I lose using this app. Level is on medium all around, yet the player across from me and the one just before me wins 90% of the time. Game is garbage.
