ScoreCam - Embedded Scoreboard

I’ve been using this for 4 months and have live-streamed over 40 hockey games. It has been a learning curve to get to the point where I’m doing play-by-play, keeping score and running the camera, but very doable now. Pretty easy to set-up the livestream on a YT channel. Video available almost immediately for future viewing on YT as well—my kids and their teammates enjoy finding their highlights immediately after the game. Also, you can simultaneously save the recording to your Apple device! You have to make sure you have a reliable internet connection to livestream. That was my biggest mistake initially. In venues where wifi and cellular service are poor you can simply record the game to your device and manually upload it to YT or other social media. ScoreCam has many useful customizations and settings. The imbedded scoreboard has many styles, sizes and color customization options. These are super easy to change on the fly. The app has numerous options for video resolution and frame-rate settings. You can pause and restart throughout the game. You can easily mute and unmute which becomes important when there’s copyrighted music playing in the background during the livestream. My only criticism is that you cannot switch out of the app to respond to a text message or use another app during a livestream. It will end the livestream and the recording. To mitigate this I wouldn’t recommend using your personal iPhone if you expect to communicate during your livestream. Otherwise, it’s a nice excuse to ignore everybody for an hour or two. Overall, fantastic app for recording and/or live-streaming sports. Highly recommended!

Absolutely worth every penny! I’ve been using this app for three years to record my daughters’ club and high school basketball games, and it never disappoints. I have the pro version, and the team viewers love the integrated scoreboard and game time feature, which enhances their viewing experience. The ability to pause the recording and keep everything in one seamless file is a game-changer—it saves me from the hassle of splicing videos together and makes uploading to Hudl and YouTube incredibly easy. The “highlight” feature is another favorite—I can capture key moments on the spot without having to scrub through the entire video later. I highly recommend this app!

Do do anything you have to pay for it.

Knowing that nothing is perfect, this app may be as close as it gets for sports video recording. The app is in a pretty constant state of upgrade. Over time the developers have taken feedback seriously and turned this app into an entry level professional grade broadcast quality product.

The app looks really cool when you see it on the app the picture shows the VIP one that you have to pay for and a lot of people don’t like paying the VIP

I recorded an entire basketball game with my sons team. There was an error when I tried to pull up the video and it’s gone. 2 Thumbs down!!

It’s great! I wish it would have the option to post prior set scores.

Easy to use but when trying to use it to go live it isn’t the easiest to do. Tried using it with twitch and it says I’m online but when people actually try to watch it says I’m off line. Works sporadically. Tried using it on YouTube live and at some point it skipped about 20 minutes of video and then the app stopped after about 45 minutes of video. It won’t connect to the ScoreCam remote that I have on my iPad. I have the ScoreCam on my iPhone 14 Pro Max and when I try to connect to the remote it says that I need a iPhone 4s or newer. It’s actually very frustrating. Please fix.

No response to support questions. Can’t change text color. Filename convention is impossible to work with. Limited streaming implementation.

I purchased the pro package to stream highshool volleyball games to youtube. Three games into the season and I've yet to successfully stream an entire match and grandmas are frustrated! Game 1, phone overheated and shut down. Added a fan and took off the case, lost 10 points of the match. Games 2, scoreboard was intermittent, scorecam crashed, was able to salvage the recorded film. Game 3 live stream quit in set 2, and the app crashed again in the 5th set. Recovered film lost 1 entire set :-( I'll be asking for a refund.
