Love this app

I’m a script writing and use this app all the time. Very easy to use. Great features, and this is just from the free version. Strongly recommend.

Scriptation

With some trepidation I took the leap and ditched my trusted script binder for an IPad, IPad pencil and Scriptation. Game changer. Not only saving me probably in the region of 20 hours of work transferring notes between drafts, Scriptation has made me on point at all times. Want to ask me about the schedule? No problem. Want to see how that dialogue used to be? Sure. Want to refer to my standard Director notes? Click click. Fast. Efficient. Brilliant. Oh and most importantly - they reckon I’ve saved 1800 pages from being printed on one project alone. Seriously. Please. Get involved.

Software issues

On the surface of it, a life changing app for anybody who needs to work on scripts on the go and with lots of pages. The tools are great and ideas behind them perfect - but the execution of them does not make this a piece of software that is actually that versatile or reliable at all. Too many glitches on the Mac and iPad apps to list. The app crashes whenever I attempt to simply delete a page of a document. Not to mention the fact that the selection tool seems to disappear and reappear whenever it pleases….

Too expensive

More expensive then Microsoft word.

Infuriating small things

This app has a lot of features out for free, which is great because I’m 17 and do not have any money. However, the app has a lot of very small annoying little things that you cant get without premium. E.g. not being able to edit the pages into decent positions. I had an even amount of pages, and this app made it so the first and last page were full pages (one page on A4), then made all the middle pages like books (two pages on A4). Im going to find an app that’ll let me remain consistent, but this feels impossible now.

Is really good.. but need to be able to put blocks of pictures in for continuity for each scene… and there can be alot

Why is this a subscription model?

Just like the many other rip-off developers that don’t rely on third party resources (developer costs), there is absolutely no reason why there should be on going cost for this app other than greed. Moreover, it simply doesn’t warrant the permanent ownership costs. For this reason we have decided not to use this software.

In love

Game changing screenplay software. Go paperless finally! This makes transferring notes between drafts so easy, you’ll feel guilty.

Good App

This is a great place to start from beginners, it’s got a low learning curve but you should make video tutorials
