For anyone who is interested in learning to read and write Chinese, Script is where to start, absolutely. Everything is right about this app: the interface, the design, the format, the voices and even the reminders. I find Script an excellent companion to Drops (for which I have taken a paid subscription). In the early stages of my learning Chinese, I really appreciate the opportunity to go back to the radicals and focus on them alone on a daily basis. I find that working this way provides welcome extra support to my ability to memorise and seems to bring on reading fluency quicker. Very happy with the limited time format for each session. It’s much easier to stay motivated this way. For those who feel like they can / would like to spend more time, it’s only fair that they should take a subscription. This is a great app, with a lot of hard work and commitment behind it. (Note: complaining that everything is not free is a demented way to look at the world.) The app beats pen and paper for convenience and guarantees daily practice, which is the only thing that will bring success in language learning. Although I now enjoy using pen and paper to work on my Chinese characters, I don’t always have the time. In any case, I would never have gained the confidence to do so without the opportunity to practice first with Script. A massive thank you to the developers and illustrators for their amazing work. Your family of apps is making an invaluable contribution to language learning –I say that as a long time avid language learner who has tried every system out there 😁
Just like pen and paper to remember the Hanzi Give it a go.
Fun and easy to use.
I could honestly rate it 4/5! It’s better than other apps that I had, I could actually remember many of the vowels quickly!
Doesn’t do anything other than show me lower case a-m. Downloaded it to practice writing Chinese Mandarin characters (中文) but there is no option to do that. 🤷🏼♂️Seems useless and I am not going to pay money to find out if it will do what they say it does.
I enjoy it and enjoy drops as well I will continue to use and hope they continue to add thank you!!
Estupendo
Not only does this app teach different scripts, it helps with vocabulary.
