Get More Revelation in Less Time. 10X Your Scripture Study with a Personal Research Assistant

We all know what it feels like to read the scriptures and not feel fulfilled at getting the revelation you want. It's all too easy to get into a rut of reading a chapter and never digging for meaning because the tools available don't support finding patterns in the scriptures.

This is why we created Scripture Notes to let you get more revelation in less time by searching the scriptures in deeper, more meaningful ways. Then when you record the revelation you receive, you show that you cherish it, and you receive more.

Scripture Notes’ unique instant note system gives you the ability to quickly record all your inspiration on any verse, even inside search results. It features Boolean search for complex search queries, instant access to outside resources like Webster’s 1828 dictionary, Blue Letter Bible for Hebrew and Greek definitions, Bible Hub for 29 Bible translations, and for those in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, you can access the LDS Citation Index project and the complete Joseph Smith Translation.

Our library is constantly expanding and now includes other works like the Apocrypha, Book of Jasher, Lectures on Faith, and more.

In this initial stage of release, we are focused on key features so local storage is not active yet (but will be in the future). As a cloud-based app you will need to register for an account to save your data. This account is a modest subscription to continue to develop the software. Cancelling your subscription will put you on a free version of the app which is still very powerful but removes extra books in the library and a Collection Note feature.

As early release software, Scripture Notes is a stable platform but has limited features when compared to the desktop version. It is already very powerful with Boolean searches and the ability to create Collection Notes, but we are working to make it the best mobile scripture study app available. There are many more features to come.

Commenting on our desktop version:

Dr. Brent Top, retired Dean of Religious Studies at BYU, said “I was blown away how good it is.”

Brad Constantine, Retired Seminary & Institute Teacher, said “In my years of gospel and scripture study, I’ve never seen a study tool that is as easy to use yet as flexible and powerful as Scripture Notes. You can easily be the gospel doctrine scholar you’ve always dreamed of with this powerful tool. This is a very valuable gospel study resource.”

Deb Malone saihttps://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/d, “When I first came across Scripture Notes I didn't see the value or use for them (sorry!), but I WANTED to. So I watched a few of the videos.... the more I watched, the more I was intrigued. It is the tutorials that come with the app that make the whole thing invaluable! Finally, for the first time in my life, I'm not just reading the scriptures.... I'm studying them! That is a huge blessing to me and I cannot wait to dig in further and learn sooo much more! Thank you so very much for your effort and work that has been put into this to make it such a blessing to those like myself!”

Scripture Notes Reviews

Good App

Daveocity on

This app has forced me to do a better job learning about other online study tools such as Bible Hub. There is still a lot I have to learn in order to take full advantage of the features of this program, but I think it will turn out to be very helpful in the long run. I understand that Daniel, the AI assistant, is still in beta, but I’m curious as to when it will be available directly on the downloaded apps. I’m very excited about the AI aspect of the program and have already used it several times. I think the interface is a little wonky and takes some getting used to, but overall it’s a very useful study tool, and worth the price of admission.

Not for Phone Only

CrazyBluOne on

I do not use a personal computer. I work entirely of my phone. This app is not for anyone like me. As a phone only access so it is not very useful. I find the LDS Church so much more intuitive and ready to navigate bookmark and add notes. Since this app does not add notes to my primary reading app it does not do me much good because hoping back and forth is a hassle. I hope it becomes more user friendly on the mobile side and it would bee great if it could someday export now to the churches app. Also, it is not cool that it demands credit card information before you can try it at the free level. Also it charged me immediately when I decided to surrender that info and try it out. No response from Scripture Notes when I inquired back Abbott the immediate charge and why it did not give me a trial period. It appears my trial started when I started seeing it up so when I actual have my credit card info I was past the free trial so I just got charged immediately. Very disappointing. It looks like it would be pretty nice of I had a computer, but definitely not worth it for mobile only use. I regret my trial.

Awesome app

This is one of the best app I’ve ever seen. When I talked to the owner I got more excited by the minute as he explained to me how it was used. I would like to see other resources added to this app to make it even greater. Such as the Jewish encyclopedia, the encyclopedia of Mormonism, journal of discourses, Hadith's, to mame a few. Awesome app, I don’t have any complaints about it, worth every penny.

I’m not able to sign in to this program at all. Doesn’t matter how many times I change the password.

Great Tool(s)

Wayne Thornton on

United States

This is a wonderful app and a great example of technology being used in a righteous way. There is a learning curve. It will take effort for most to get a good handle on the techniques needed to harness the potential of this wonderful tool. But the tutorials are there and support is responsive and timely. If you are a serious student of the scriptures and want to take you study to the next level, this is the app for you. Qwt

Not great

Although this study app would be good for some, just not for me. Simpler is better. I find it to complicated and time consuming to effectively study the scriptures.

So handy!!

I was asked to check this app out and I couldn’t be more pleased that I found it! It takes reading, pondering and receiving revelation to a whole new level. You can quickly find relating references, keep your thoughts as you read along, create collections, etc. I have found it to be a GREAT resource for studying the scriptures. There’s a little bit of a learning curve. But watch the videos and stick with it. It’s worth your time.

Great!

This developer is in the process of bringing this mobile app up to the quality of his desktop version. I have been waiting for this app for a long time! I downloaded it a week ago, there is a learning curve but the YouTube videos are very helpful. I am NOT a scripture scholar, and this is amazing for me. I decided to sign up for the paid version and I am very glad that I did. There are many resources and helps for each verse. I look forward to each new version/update.

An amazing app with some potential!

To be clear, I use Scripture Notes frequently on my laptop. It’s a wonderful software I’ve used to 10x my studies. The app though has a flaw that I believe can easily be corrected. When I open my collection notes, the keyboard pops up and no matter where I click, the keyboard will not disappear. This makes it hard to see the verses saved. Other than that, I love scripture notes as a whole and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future!!

Excellent App.

Paul The Unhappy on

This is a powerful app. Amazing way to study. I have been a student of the scriptures for over 50 years. The ability to get definitions of words as they were defined at the time the scriptures were translated is enlightening. Integrating Strongs Concordance make the Greek and Hebrew accessible to laymen like me. Makes digging deep into the scriptures possible.
