Sculptura 3D FAQ
Is Sculptura 3D free?
Yes, Sculptura 3D is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Sculptura 3D legit?
🤔 The Sculptura 3D app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
It’s rubbish. The Pencil only works for a very few functions. There are no hover over prompts to assist learning. I have used mesh maker on windows which is a similar sort of program but so far I haven’t been able to make this App do anything. Very poor would like my money back…
What a great app
I love this app. Intuitive controls and friendly UI make for a very fluid workflow. Get the Apple Pencil ... trust me on this.
Missing UVs
I got this to export to Procreate, but it isn't accepted, saying 'Can't import, missing UVs. Help!
Not really useable
On iPad 8th gen - When you set the ‘use Apple Pencil only’ it limits your ability to use it. You are trapped in only zooming in & out and can’t access any functions other than the size/depth controls. You need to reboot. Without using the pencil only setting you are always making strokes on the model by accident and the undo wipes all your current work away..Grrrr.
It would work better if the rotate model feature was called up with a two finger press to make it different than using a tool stroke.
Nice App but needs more work on user interface. Sometimes hard to select a tool or the menu. Some limitations on importing models, although good when it works, exporting also has limits on size.
Not really useable on iPad for the price, needs a demo version!
Constantly crashing
Has potential but crashes way too often. Have applied for a refund. This is why apps need trials
Great until it crashes - poor customer support
A good app for the iPad but unfortunately since the app has crashed it is now unusable. I have tried contacting the support team through the forum found here but I have not had a reply. A waste of money if the app cannot be fixed.
Clunky, not for serious work
I’m a professional miniatures sculptor used to working with real clay, I bought this to have a go a digital sculpting. I’m pretty disappointed, I find the movements clunky and not precise enough. I also don’t find the controls at all intuitive. You only have to look at the demo pictures which show this apps capability to see this is not for professional use.
Great potential
I am new to sculpting. I generally use CAD software. The app works fluidly and it’s great to use with the Apple Pencil. Can’t wait to see what can be added to this as I think the iPad with the pencil is a great form factor for sculpting.
One suggestion / thing that has bugged me:
I would like the option to turn off finger input for sculpting (just rotation) and take input from the Apple Pencil. I keep accidentally draw a line through my model. Unsure if it’s possible, but to be able to sculpt and rotate the object would be great 😀
To limited , looks cheap and nasty
I was hoping when I bought this app it would feel a little bit more like sculpting , for the price the tool range is extremely limited , brushing along the surface to “carve “ or “build up “ an area is horrendously jittery not at all a smooth transition/blend . Overall way overpriced for the quality and limitations it has , it looks cheap and nasty , not worth a 1 star rating , I was looking forward to using this app because it was recommended, now I can say I have no faith in other people’s recommendations anymore
Brilliant!
Used it for one night and began achieving everything I could have hoped for. Being able to export str files brings my 3D printing into a whole new level. Absolutely brilliant!
