The difficulty increase progressively with missions.
The rank which has been reached is preserved.
The "2 Players" mode allows you to play with someone on the same device.
The "Online" mode allows you to play with an other player connected on Game Center.
3 points is awarded to the winner.
1 point is awarded to the loser who has finished the game.
If your opponent quit the game or if he is offline before the end of the game then you'll gain 2 additional points.

Poor connection
Can’t get connected online with nearby player on the same settee and often drops signal so can’t complete the games. It’s fun in single player mode though but having purchased it twice for both myself and my wife, I’m not impressed there are connecting problems which it seems others are also experiencing
Don’t bother
Playing online drops out after about 2 moves, every time. Just move on to an app that works.
