To begin using the Seattle Yellow Cab App today:
• Download the free app
• Enter your phone number
• Validate your account (via the notification code you receive)
• Login to the app (Set your name and Email for receipts)
• Enter your pickup address
• Enter your destination address (this allows us to provide an estimated fare amount)
• Book your trip
On booking a reservation, you will immediately receive a confirmation number, along with an update when your vehicle has been assigned. From here you can monitor the progress of your vehicle as it moves towards your pickup location.
The Seattle Yellow Cab App retains a history of your previous reservations for expense management and to quickly rebook the same trip with the push of a button. You may also create a list of favourite locations (Home, Work, etc.) to speed up the booking process.

Works well
Works well, easy way to schedule or hail a taxi..fares are much less than other ride-share services. Best option for basic transportation needs.
Now Requires Credit Card to Book
If you just want to book a taxi and pay cash… you have to call. Can book, track and pay in the app just like the alt-taxi services… but prices may be cheaper (along with the experience).
better than Uber
The app is very convenient and gives you more options and a better user experience than Uber. I highly recommend it.

Yellow is my new green light to fast, efficient and affordable rides! The app is clear and easy to use and the driver was so kind and courteous.
tip customization and pick up instruction at airport
overall app is good but lacks dollar tip option as only allow percentages. pick up location isnt clear so had to coordinate with driver by phone should improve pick up instruction at the airport
Estimates: wait times longer, cost more
Definitely cheaper than Uber, drivers have generally been very nice App sometimes gets hung up while trying to find a driver without resolving itself My really big problem, is that the wait time is at least double and sometimes 4 times as long as what is quoted. The price is generally 40 to 70% more than the estimate. BUT NOTE. still cheaper than Uber!
Kind, courteous, better pricing than rideshare
My sister-in-law was visiting and needed to leave our house in Fremont for the airport at 4:15 this morning (ouch!) so she wanted to pre-book her ride. Lyft told her it would cost $100. Uber said it would be about $80. I was preparing to get up early and take her, but then the Seattle Yellow Cab app gave an estimate of $60-$62. So of course she chose that, and then we were all annoyed because when she clicked “confirm” it said it had put a hold on her card of $80, so it seemed like bait-and-switch. But then the actual metered price came out to only $53! She said the driver was kind and courteous and showed up 10 minutes early, and all went well, and she would definitely use them again. 💛
Pro drovers are better and less expensive
No comparison. Easily better value than any tech ride share service
App issues
As a first time user for the yellow cab app, I found it a bit frustrating as it changed my Pick Up address on its own, which caused some delay. Luckily, I was able to talk to the driver and he could come pick me up where I was located.
