Description

Secop was formerly known as Danfoss Compressors. Our first selection program DanCap was developed in 2006 and is no longer supported. It was renamed to CapSel in 2012. As we update our software to reflect our current knowledge and experience, the CapSel program will showing improved calculation results compared to the old DanCap program.
The Secop CapSel App makes it possible to design a capillary tube expansion device for compressor cooling systems. Capillary tubes are often used in light commercial refrigeration systems, mobile refrigeration systems, and household refrigerators instead of a thermostatic expansion device, with natural refrigerants. Well-designed capillary tubes in a hermetically sealed compressor system can lead to an energy-efficient system, which can be improved by the technology of variable speed compressors.
The App includes the hydrocarbon refrigerants R290 and R600a. Capillary tubes for refrigerating compressor systems with other refrigerants can also be calculated as well as the transitional refrigerants R452A and R513A.
CapSel features refrigerants which can be used with Secop compressors.

Good and intuitive design but lacking heat exchange correction

Most of cap tubes running together with suction line and such forming a heat exchanger that impacts cap tube performance. This app lacks heat exchange length input field, like Tecumseh web cap selector has.
