This was the first game I downloaded on my new iPhone 14 having played several other space games on pc I wanted to see if there was one on the ap store for my new phone but didn’t want anything battery draining or that would overheat my phone so I saw this and thought I’ll give it a try. Pretty cool game it’s definitely a strategy game even without all the flashy graphics you’ll enjoy the game it allows for a lot of imagination and gives you details to help form in your mind what it is that’s going on. Not only does it allow you to make decisions it also gives you bonuses and incentives for having made those decisions but also there are consequences. Do you keep all the colonists alive safely nestled in their cryo sleep chambers or do you sacrifice them for the good of the ship? Do you sacrifice one scanners ability to make that life saving maneuver that may alter the course you’re on and end in disaster or do you keep that scanner intact and push the seed ship to its unknown limits. You get alot of play room to decide on what it is you’ll prioritize. Reading will go a long way for you in this game. There are many uncertainties and different paths. My stats were quite low and I was on my very last probe I had traveled for millennias and lost much of the ships cabilities to sustain any safe trajectory towards choosing a place to colonize luckily enough I managed to avoid having my colonists being sucked into a black hole at least twice, the victims of a same scenario at least once and likely killed by warring nations one planet while also escaping likely uncertain doom. I don’t want to spoil it but it’s likely impossible to spoil with so many different outcomes possible. Definitely give it a shot.
It’s a fun game that you can play if you meed a distraction for some time and it makes you think about your choices since some choices can be bad for you all in all I say this is a good game
This text-based sci-fi game is simple, but one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played. I’d pay money for a game like this. I only wish there was more!
When this game works it’s amazing and every choice can feel balanced, got it to help me keep my brain active during chemo, but out of about six months of playing this once a week for three hours a day it’s often more frustrating than rewarding, it’s not bad, but it feels too punishing, and while I understand it’s not a power fantasy, it has a score system that is based on how merciful the RNG was to you which I feel defeats a lot of the purpose while just adding to that frustration. You can do little to control anything, while being judged based on that little bit of control. It’s strength is it’s narrative, the rest is pretty weak.
It’s always difficult to create a game that can model judgments about risk but this game is it, and excellent replayability.
The only thing that upsets me is that it isn’t still being developed. This game has amazing potential.
While the game’s incredibly repetitive after awhile, its still fun to play while waiting for something
I think it was about a year or two ago I installed Seedship. I did not expect much and it was more of a random install than anything. Even when I was starting the game for the first time I thought “am I really going to enjoy this?” But then after about 10 minutes I began to saw how in-depth and interesting the gameplay was despite its simplicity. This is honestly one of the best free-to-play games on the App Store. A single game definitely will probably not last you 10 minutes, but there are plenty of different endings, scenarios, and outcomes you can strive to get. There is no “correct” choice in this game, everything you do *will* have a risk and the riskier it is, the higher the reward can be. You need to decide which part of the ship you want to prevent from being damaged as you travel across the galaxy, trying to find a new home for humanity. Will your faith in aliens be rewarded? Or will the Seedship and humanity suffer immensely? Do you let an asteroid hit the colonist sleep chambers? Or do you avoid it and allow it to hit somewhere else that may be more important? Do you settle for a planet that is not exactly perfect for mankind? Or do you risk humanity losing more of itself by trying to find a better planet?
This game is amazing! Every time I play the results are different, and the random events make this game challenging, but not to much. This game is like no other game I’ve ever played. If you want a good sci-fi RPG, download this right now! Don’t listen to the one star reviews of this game, they’re just complaining. One of my favorite parts of this game is that you can look back at your results of each play through, and it ranks them from best to worst. If I were to have one complaint about this game, it would be that the civilizations can get corrupted to easily even if you only lose a small amount of your humans. But it’s fine. It doesn’t really bother me all that much. So overall, amazing game! Download now!
