Description

Seizure Alert: My Medic Watch is a ground-breaking smartwatch app which uses proprietary and innovative algorithms to interpret data captured by smartwatch sensor technologies. By using innovative algorithms, it automatically detects if the wearer has a seizure-like movement and activates immediate emergency assistance.
My Medic Watch provides monthly and yearly subscriptions which include a 30-day free trial.
Seizure Alert: My Medic Watch is designed to be installed on both an Apple Watch and iPhone, paired together. It can be worn by people prone to seizures characterised by convulsions or jerking movements.
Today, more and more people are choosing to live independently, in their own homes, aided by vital technology innovations like Seizure Alert - My Medic Watch, which was validated by medical trials undertaken in Sydney.
Seizure Alert - My Medic Watch is designed to be downloaded to a wearable device. It can be worn by people of all ages who are prone to seizures.
If the wearer does have a seizure, Seizure Alert - My Medic Watch automatically detects it and notifies all nominated caregivers, without the need for manual intervention, providing details of the user’s location. The app can also be activated manually by the wearer if they are feeling unwell and require assistance, simply by pressing a button on their smartwatch.
A FOUR STEPS PROCESS
1. Smart Detection: As soon as a seizure-like movement occurs, Seizure Alert: My Medic Watch detects it using smartwatch sensors and an accurate algorithm.
2. Immediate Alert: The app automatically sends notifications containing the wearer’s GPS location (if available) to designated caregivers, eliminating the need for manual intervention based on escalation workflows.
3. Reassurance for Everyone: All caregivers are sent updates of the progress, keeping everyone informed and reassured.
4. Real-Time Data: Included in the user’s subscription is access to real-time data for all related medical episodes. The user can also choose to give access to his or her doctor, so that their medical data can be reviewed securely, online on the secure My Medic Watch portal. The watch app uses sensors to save and store the user's heart rate.
Thanks to Seizure Alert: My Medic Watch, those with a condition that makes them susceptible to seizure-like movements, can continue to live independently in their own homes, with ultimate peace of mind.
APP SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION

Only 1 Thing Left To Make This App 5 Stars

I can’t believe how easy to set the app was. Only one thing I could think of that this app needs is some kind of icon on the watch face to start the app instead of having to scroll through the app list.

error encountered in the server

this app the past month or so has shown "error encountered in the server" and doesn't work at all. very frustrating when we pay monthly to use it and it's literally been useless

Like the Girl Who Cried Wolf

dreapress on

The idea is a great one but it’s too touchy. It goes off all the time and now I’m like the girl who cried wolf. It goes off so much my husband has gotten to where he ignores it, so sometime when I really need help I won’t get it. This thing goes off so much I don’t even notice when it has gone off. I have a job where I move a lot, so sometimes I don’t notice it’s gone off or hear that it’s going off. So, yes, the idea is great but it definitely has problems and can’t and won’t work for a lot of people. I will say it has worked for me too! It has detected a couple of seizures and gone off at the correct time, so it does work, but there are flaws in the system too.

Peace of Mind

We brought an Apple Watch and this app when our teenage son started having tonic clonic seizures whilst sleeping. We have found it highly effective, giving us peace of mind whilst also allowing him privacy and reassurance. The customer service and follow up that comes with it are fabulous. As parents of a teen with epilepsy- this app has been amazing for us!

Not worth it

CKLeigh1 on

Australia

I have payed for this app for quite a while as my seizures are nocturnal and if I were to have one when sleeping alone, it would be great if someone would be notified. However this app has not picked up on any of my seizures I’ve had. Each time I have been notified by my partner by him waking me after. Not worth paying for and it not working.

To sensitive

Ashle55 on

Australia

I downloaded this app as I’m going to be reducing my medication after being 13 year’s seizure free and am nervous, but I found the app us very sensitive and thinks I’m having a seizure almost every 2 minutes and wanted me to monitor and notify carers. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity?

Needs improvement

loadafreak on

Australia

At a start, I had to reply to an Australian text message and was charged an international rate. A confirmation email would have been better and free. In the trial month, we had 7 alerts that were false, 2 seizures that were not detected and maybe only 1 that was actually detected. I would suggest a false alarm button where the watch could vibrate and ask for confirmation before actually sending alert, much like Apple Watch fall detection. And I think user feedback like above would help with data collection and improving app. We haven’t had a good experience with this app. So needless to say we aren’t subscribing.

No good

We’ve had nothing but trouble with this app. Sending alerts when my dad isn’t having a seizure and the app stays open on the watch and easy to knock and alert people. Also drains watch and phone so quickly.

Amazing app! But absorbs battery fast

person0000p0 on

Australia

I really love the idea of this app as its really helpful for my family to know if something were to happen they would be notified. The only part of this app that can be a bit annoying is the battery life on the iPhone and watch goes down significantly and I was just wondering if you guys could change the app in any sort of way to slow the take of battery? I do understand though why it takes a lot. Besides from this the app is great and I love it!

Great customer service

MJ77! on

The customer service from My Medic watch I have to say is amazing!! The app has set off two false alerts so far in the week it’s been running, once was when my mum was just sitting in the car doing nothing. I just hope it works if she has a seizure as it really could be life saving.
