Description

The SenSen Stability app is a balance and strength measurement & tracking tool built around existing tests provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

SenSen Stability measures and monitors the balance, or stability, of those individuals who are interested in taking the Four Stage Balance Test (FSBT), the modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction in Balance (mCSTSIB), the Timed Up and Go (TUG) or the 30 second Chair Stand. The product consists of a Bluetooth sensor module, an elastic belt with a pouch for the module, and an included iPad preloaded with this app. The tablet has been paired with the Bluetooth radio in the sensor module. The person being tested wears the module over their sacrum, and then follows the instructions in the app or given by the tester.

SenSen Stability provides the usual time in balance (FSBT and mCTSIB), or total time from the chair and back (TUG), or stand count (Chair Stand). In the case of the FSBT and the mCTSIB, we also calculate a proprietary balance score based on an analysis of the movements detected by the hardware in the sensor module. The SenSen Stability app is intended to provide an objective, quantifiable and repeatable measure of balance.

You may track an individual’s results over time, and compare current test results with prior test results. Test results are stored in the cloud so you will always have test histories available.
