How to get the device?

Matt9b on

Desperate to get the Sensio pollen counter for indoors so I can predict & take measures to prevent my severe hayfever, which is debilitating. However, can’t find the Sensio air device on sale anywhere? It’s the only device in the world that can detect grass pollen apparently.

Some problems with app.

I tried to add a symptom but each time after I had done so it told me I had added no symptoms. The app seemed to have nothing else to offer.

Looks great but isn’t logging allergens only pollutants. That isn’t helping me.

It seems this is not accurate enough to point the allergies ... There is not much grass pollens still it report as very high they 9. Crazy ... Don’t like much it’s a waste of time.

Where’s the capital of our country?

Bit perturbed as to why London isn’t on here.

Great App

I recently downloaded this app as my son has Asthma and would sometimes experience sudden attacks. This app helps you keep a log and hopefully that would help us identify the allergens causing them. What’s great is that it gives you a daily allergen and pollution level depending on where you live and you get some tips sent as notifications.

Life saver!

Spent time working in Beirut and felt really tight chested when I was going running. Started using this app to pick safe times to run! Cool for hay-fever too.

Perhaps still work in progress

TonyTheToast on

I want to like this app but there are a few things that I am not completely happy with. The air-view function display is a picture of what the camera is looking at and is superimposed by coloured floating dots. I cannot understand how the iPhone is detecting particles because when I cover my camera lens the dots still float about. Even when I blow at the lens or wave my hands it makes no difference to the dots being displayed. I stood at a busy set of traffic lights and the reading still showed a low 3. I want to be confident that when I look at Airview I am actually detecting pollution and allergens around me at that moment but I'm not confident that this is what it does. The interface itself is a bit buggy. For example when entering profile health information it's difficult to get the field to except data at first. Another small irritation is when I have air-view displayed it is in panoramic view and upside down so that the orientation facility on the iPhone is not properly being used. When I went onto the blog so that I could read advice and information on the manufacturers website I found that the text was black on a dark grey background and so the only way I could read the information was by copying it and pasting into notepad where I could in fact read it. I really do want this app to work well for me but I think it is still working progress and I am especially keen to find out how it detects allergens and pollution and dust around me in air-view because I am not confident that it is actually doing this.
