Sentral for Parents

Trying to download my child’s school reports off sentral before the end of the year before it gets deleted and I now have the loading circle of doom every time I try to log in.

Do you want an app where you spend 90% of the time just authenticating your login? Well this app is for you. Forget about Apple having one of the most secure ecosystems - you’ll have to login separately for each school your children go to. Then the app will forget that authentication, forcing you through the process nearly every single time. There’s a score more problems with this app but the 1-star rating really tells it all.

The school now requires the use of this app, apparently we will only be able to see school reports through the app! I’m running this on an iPhone 12 and iOS 18.2 and just redownloaded it and it still doesn’t remember the access key? Every time I log in I need to give it the access key, and even when I give it the key I go to settings and manage keys there’s no key there. I can temporarily see my children but the app immediately forgets the key when I close it. The average rating for this app is 2 stars. This app earns 1 star from me because I can see the general notices from the school, so perhaps 20 % functionality earns 1 star out of 5. Join your P&C and forbid your school from using this app.

It takes ages to login

Unable to see my childs behaviour and i’m also not able to contact his teachers. I’ve deleted the app and relogged in but nothing seems to work

I agree with some of these other low reviews but aside of that… SUPER ANNOYING that every time the app needs an update it kicks you out completely and doesn’t even remember your log in details. There is no option to pre fill or remember log in at all. Laboriously typing in email and password which I can’t even remember half the time is just ridiculous in this day and age, especially for something needed so regularly.

Good, but only once you get in. You have to find the school every time then log in every time. If you are a student using this you have to go through to portals through the DOE. It’s so annoying

I’m a student and I usually check the app before school and to use it you need to find your school which it won’t remember and sign in 3 times two of which is the same thing name and password two times! It’s so annoying when your in a rush and not to mention when i finally do get in it as a banner at the top which you have to click away which is asking you to download the app even though I have downloaded the app! And you have to click it away because you can’t click on your profile without doing so, it’s a school app not a top secret FBI app I’m no one important so why is there so many login ins?

Don’t bother, hopeless app!!

Constantly getting logged out, for no reason. The payment function works differently every time, hard to get used to as once you get in 2 days in a row…you are definitely getting logged out again. Terrible app!
